They're actually fairly OP, both in FO3 and FO:NV, if you max out the stats for them.

Tried that in FO3. But small guns was the best out of all of them.

The Super Slam perk makes it a lot easier to me, only in NV, where you have a chance to knock down the enemy. Sentry Bots became nothing to me the instant I got that perk. The Damage Threshold feature also helps melee people in my opinion.

I got a bounty so high on my head that I wasn't allowed to pay bail. It was a pain whenever I tried to do missions that required talking to people in town.
I was an assassin.

Assassin isn't really very defining. Since pretty much everyone had one character they did all guilds with [aka my character lol]. I used heavy armor, swords, and spells.

I also loved how cheap life was in Oblivion. You could kill a citizen and only pay a few gold in return.

Eh.
I tried Oblivion. Just.... couldn't get into it. Nothing kept me there. Too daunting in size, perhaps?

Then I played Fallout 3. Amazing. Fantastic.

New Vegas? Even damn better.
Speaking of skills, in NV, Speech was the best weapon. Seriously.

The only reason that game became better was because they made it more like the first 2 fallouts from 12 years before.

I mean, I know that, but that's not the only reason.

Like, all the references to Fallout 1 and 2.
But yeah, it had it's own special magic. Also, Vegas.

Yea of course, I don't credit its success solely on their attachment to the first 2 fallouts, but it certainly contributed a lot.

I've heard many people say the game is good.

But the people whose opinion I care about, aka the ones I hang with the most and talk to the most, already said that Obsidian tried too hard again so I trust them

Haha, in Oblivion I have one character where I just maxxed his hand to hand stat. So he just punches everything to death.

To be fair, back in the days it was a popular joke and you were..... what 15 or so? I was around that age as well. But yeah when the next elder scrolls comes out, I'm gonna make the closest Bruce Willis possible.

I never really liked Morrowind and I always assumed Oblivion had the same system and similar interface that I disliked in Morrowind.

Morrowind was more rpg than action.

Oblivion was more action than rpg. But they both kept everything the same besides the fighting.

Oblivion is over-all a better game but people sya morrowind because of the nostalgia factor.

*shrug*

I just genuinely liked it better.

I didn't like how everything was levelled in Oblivion.

If they made Morrowind with HD graphics and the melee fighting from Oblivion [aka not the miss miss miss hit miss miss miss hit mode] I would like it way more than Oblivion.
