Rules:

• 1. No griefing. Don't destroy/alter anything someone built.
• 2. Don't take items from chests that are not yours.
• 3. Don't spam water or lava. Placing either in/near someone's build is forbidden
• 4. Avoid mining around/under someone's build.
• 5. Don't set trees on fire.
• 6. Don't kill other players. PvP is allowed in specified areas.
• 7. Avoid creepers around populated areas.

The sever is run Using Bukkit/CraftBukkit. I'll list all currently installed plugins and available commands soon...

Except that you can build pretty much any building without having the risk of Source engine deciding to screw you over.

On the Alpha mode (must buy game), you also build stuff. But the difference is that you don't have the things. You must get the materials and craft the tools. There's survival mode that is you and a bunch of people against zombies. And there's also capture the flag, build a base and defend your flag.

I'm playing alpha right now. So far I've crafted swords, shovels, and pickaxes. I've dug a nice deep tunnel with lead through lots of gravel, coal, and steel.

Also, the maps are infinite.

Minecraft Wiki. Some of it is common sense. First you need a crafting table to make more advanced things like tools.

Ok, as of now all maps have been backed up. The current map has been placed on the secondary server and a new, larger map was generated for the main server. I will keep the old map running on the secondary server until we are done with the main map. It will then be archived, the current map moved, and a new map generated.

The server is public once more. Now you need to be promoted to Builder to be allowed to edit any maps. If you're a guest you're damned to chaos, which anyone can edit. You'll still get banned for griefing there though. Once proven worthy, you will be promoted and given access to other maps.

Current maps are "Chaos" and "SNAFU1".

Fair/Just/Level headed
Enforces Rules/Issue Bans Appropriately
Discipline To Not Abuse Operator Privelages
Understanding Of Operator Commands
Active Community Member/Ability To Log In Daily/Often

Hiryu: Doc's bag is a portal. She's actually from another dimension and when she jumped into it, she ended up at a desk with a browser open on this site. That's how she found it.
We have a Doctor Who thread now. Doctor Who threads are cool.

The server is public, so there's plenty of non SNAFU players. I'll admit though, in the beginning we had maybe a dozen people from SNAFU, now a lot of them don't come back.
