The N64 & PS1 Era

Postby Zarengo » Mon Jul 19, 2010 9:34 pm

For those who still dwell on the past, I was just wondering if the era of the N64 and the PS one was as great to other people as it was to me, if not, meh.

Yeah there were some good games.

The games coming out now are generally better.

Some games hold the test of time though.

I'm not seeing a lot of content here warranting a new thread. Care to elaborate?

Hell I don't know. I'm just using this thread as a way to focus on doing a paper and multitasking, because I like to juggle back and forth so I don't get board with a paper, but unless you have a deep understanding about using derivatives as a hedging mechanism you can only serve as the distraction function.

Hmmm... Guess you are right, I don't seem to able to elaborate on this subject very much.

I just wanted to see what other people had to say about some of the games from that time. I learned my most basic english playing N64 games  . No point in continuing this anymore I suppose.

Some were great, others should never have been produced. I would like to see a Battle Tanx 3 though...
Stufflikehearts - He is a Sith Lord. I love Blood Lord :3
Jeffffey - Blood, you look at the information someone says, look over what really happened, and reply in a way that makes them realize what they were really thinking.
Light10s - Blood Lord! Your avatars are becoming more epic. You make me feel like getting on all fours and submitting my loyalty and obedience to you.
Fievel - Numerous campaigns and conquests, countless bodies decaying after the abandonment of victorious battlefields. Such is the life of Blood Lord.
Dusk_Imp - Blood Lord is like a celebrity here. Everything he does is pure awesome. ALL HAIL BLOOD LORD
Doctress Who - Why couldn't there be a Blood Lord in every forum? It would make life so much easier.

But they did (or going to do) the remake of GoldenEye 007 for the Wii though.

That's not one hundred percent correct, it's more that it was the first solid console shooter.

It was the best console shooter of its time. Until Perfect Dark came along.

Perfect Dark out did it, and it was made by the same creators.

It was being the first pretty good console shooter and the split screen multiplayer was a blast, that has cemented it as one of the most beloved N64 games.

Yeah, the days of the N64 were great! I still have mine, on occasion I break out Conker's Bad Fur day and play that with a friend of mine. One of the greatest N64 games in my opinion.

I also loved Perfect Dark, but my copy of the game was stolen and sold off by my douchebag of a stepbro.

Yuck...That's not a remake, it's an abomination.

If they want to remake it they should at least animate Pierce Brosnan into the game instead of that annoying new Bond.

Yeah, its a rule, but its cool, now you know not to do it again. =)

As for the other stuff. Conker was really cool! It was the last game to come out in the N64. Also, in my opinion, the first "real" mature game for Nintendo with all the swearing.

Are in the process. But they're using a Daniel Craig version of James Bond, and the storyline has been altered slightly. Less Cold War-ish.

Perfect Dark was nothing more than a mod of GoldenEye.

Fuck you. The new Bond is better than Brosnan's "Donald Trump-level-hair" Bond.

Perfect Dark was nothing more than a mod of GoldenEye.

A mod more enjoyable than the original, but still a mod I suppose.

The new bond totally sucks, I liked him in the movie 'Road to Perdition', but he is not nearly suave, or clever enough to be a bond.
