I don't really post here, but I'm curious. Anybody here plays this game?

League of Legends is a renewed version of DoTA (Defense of The Ancients) taking it out of the limitations of Warcraft III Engine, done by Riot Games. As for "yet another free online game", LoL it's a lot of fun imho. The game is developing quickly and updated regularly. Plenty of Champions to play with and games are not repetitive as one might think.

Here's a champion spotlight from Riot Games featuring a champion loosely based on the movie 300.

My friends play it all the time, and Asmodai is right; they yell at each other all the time from the smallest errors and compete vigorously and constantly to see who gets better streaks n shit.
Not my kind of community.

Heh, well the community issue is exactly why it's good to have a large base of "friends" to put into arranged teams for gameplay.

I encourage playing this game. I mean it has all kinds of characters, I mean, a pirate, three ninjas, a spartan, a fallen angel, a coopa troopa ( from mario ), a samurai, hot assassin chicks, a werewolf, I mean there's none of that stuff in dota.

Speaking of which, from my experience, dota and hon have more ragequitters than lol. Also, you don't know your opponents heroes before the game starts, sure there's a lack of game modes, but it's pretty good, and I've had some impressive games lately.

I'm a void stalker teehee.

@Rowby: If you ever start playing LoL, I've been playing with another snafu member who just started off with games like this, and I'm teaching him how to pwn other newbies :D

Well Starcraft 2 beta ends so I'll need something to play while I breed my Pokemon. I might get back into it.

Probably because of the Practice Matches, where people arent too far up their own asses. Plus, item are more clear to me than they were in HoN

Yeah, Heim is really good, played him twice so I didn't really get a good feel with him. He can save the game if your last turret in the lane is destroyed, he just has to put all his turrets to def.

Agreed on the items, and since there's no intelligence, strength, agility, you can pretty much play any character the way you want.

A friend of mine played DPS Ryze once, and won the game hard.

Going to add you then. Everyone gets free champions, but as time comes you'll get to buy ( without real money yay ) your favs.

You should try as many of them as you can, when one gets boring you just switch to another, and changing heroes often makes the game more interesting.
