HELL YEAH.
So I figured it's time for a thread.

Also, I'm considering grabbing the 4-pack because it's so damn cheap compared to grabbing solo. The only problem is that there are only me and another friend, 2 of us right now.
So I'm looking for another 2 who want the Steam version.Gone.

I already preordered the Steam version, so I'm right along with ya  although, I wonder if I could cancel and join your little thing.

Edit - Eh, scratch that.. it would probably be too much work for me to cancel it now. Already have it waiting to be downloaded when released.

I did, too. But canceled it by contacting the help desk. The response was almost immediate, I think VALVe was expecting this. (It took them 3 hours to cancel it)

If you paid for the 4-pack, I wouldn't mind playing the Steam version.

But I'll probably end up getting the 360 version. So few people at my school have a PS3, and I don't think any of them are considering Borderlands. One of my friends is getting it on his 360 though. That's the main reason I'd play it on 360.

But right now, I'm flat broke and I have to pay off insurance and shit. I doubt I'll be getting any new games.

I jumped the gun and grabbed it for my PS3. Shit's pretty good so far. Sniping is a bit odd, though. Maybe it's just me. I hit 16 with Mord just now and I decided to try a bit of Brick. Next will be Lilith then finally, Roland. When I get a good feel of the rest, I'll decide my main character.

I think the Hunter and Siren are the two I'm looking to play the most. Gonna go Bird-style for the Hunter with specialty in Rifles/Submachs, and Elementalist for the Siren with specialty in Shotguns.

Okay, so I played all evening yesterday. And so far my biggest tip would be DO NOT PICK SIREN! For the love of all thats good and holy, do not pick Lilith
She is ssssssssooooooooo useless.
Phasewalk, whoopty doo, you turn invincible for about 5 seconds and move really fast (you cant attack in this state).

Pick any character but her

Graphics are phenomenal, I really like the cell shading.
And I believe the developers when they said it had a million guns in it.
Snipers seem a bit OP, since I was playing with a friend split screen and he chose the Hunter. His crits did around 600 damage each, were as mine did "only" 150.

DO. NOT. PICK. LILITH.

Claptrap!

I'll pick her anyways. The stealth is her one ability sure, but I'll be playing a role where she just makes Elemental weapons do WAY more damage and effects. So I'll most likely rarely use the stealth.

And when you phase out, you do damage.

read: minimal damage... as in, most enemies wont even notice it

and stealth? the game doesnt even have stealth, as soon as something sees you, it starts shooting/beating,eating you. And the A.I has pretty good eyes.
And if you think that the phasewalk is a stealth action, think again, it only lasts for about 5 seconds and then you pop back out. I only use it when I want to go somewhere quick.

but hey, when you are busy with a coop game and see other players with other heroes pulling out way better skills, dont say I didnt warn you

The only good skill she has is the corrosive melee attack, but you get that at such a late level that you probably already have a gun that can match that

whoo, lvl 28 Beserker with a gold shotgun (anybody who plays WoW knows what gold means)

so far I've noticed that the Soldier is the most powerful class you can choose, that turret is killer. Second best is the Beserker, which can turn into an almost impossible to stop punching monster when going berserk (also, my fists now explode on impact)
