When I was little I wasn't much of a gamer myself but I did like to watch my sister play all the time. In fact most of what I remember from my childhood would probably be watching my sis play different games on the PS, Nintendo (64 as well as the super). Most gamers don't start with the same games so I thought it would be interesting to share their top five favorite childhood games!
I'll start~

1) Castlevania : Symphony of the Night (I wish we still had it :()
2) MGS : The Twin Snakes (Psycho Mantis freaked me out a little with his antics)
3) Super Mario Brothers (I played this when I visited my grandma)
4) Sonic the Hedgehog (^)
5) Monster Rancher 2 (I liked to make cool looking monsters more then training them ^.^')

Banjo Tooie was the first game for the N64 I got into, everything about that game was great!

The first N64 game I got into was The Legend Zelda : Ocarina of Time :p, but when I finally got to making my own game our dog chewed the cord that connects the N64 to the tv TT_TT

*Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars
*Donkey Kong Country 2 (SNES)
*Star Fox 64
*The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
*Paper Mario

And a hell of other games, but those were the best, in my opinion.

super mario bros. 1-3
tetris attack
megaman X 1-3
megaman 2 and 3
dr. mario
Yoshi
Mario paint (lulz)
Super Mario World
Super Mario RPG

and my favorite was Super Metroid.

Really though, when I was a LITTLE kid I only watched tetris attack... I was/am simply terrible at that game, compared to my brothers...

I remember watching my oldest throw an x100 at my other brother... O_o

ok, How can you even consider the twin snakes as a childhood game? I mean, I know you're 15 but...god damn that doesn't seem right to me.

Favorite childhood games? Well, I didn't play but my father often played Resident Evil and Resident Evil 2. I got nightmares about it but I still enjoyed it.

I don't even remember...my first system was an atari system that was given as a gift(It was awesome). We eventually gave it to someone i forget who it was, but anyway, then i played a snes for a while.

Though the atari games i liked...a buddy of mine, even a few years ago, I think it was 2 years or so, he came over and eventually we got bored so i pulled it out and we played Terminator game on snes for about 2 hours.

It's simple yet so much fun.

My first game system was an 8-bit console that I assume is somewhat older than I am. My favorite game on it was some variation of Space Invaders. For most of my childhood, though, I played old-school PC Sim games. Does anyone remember SimAnt, SimTower, or SimCity 2000?
