The Ultralisk thing is fixed. I think we can hand this one to Blizzard and acknowledge that was a decently fast fix.

In other news, some designer Blizzard guy chat channels and pro-gaming will be the focus point of the next patch, which they hope to get out this year. I'm not super enthusiastic about this "patch every other month" thing they got going. If they just wanted to, say, nerf marauders, that shouldn't take two months.

I wonder, is the DotA clone Heroes of the Ancient Temples popular enough that you can actually get a team together to play it, in the US? It's pretty much dead here, which I think is a shame, for while there's another DotA called Storm of the Imperial Sanctum with more heroes, it has a much stronger foundation. For one thing, it actually has RPG-like stats, that increase regeneration and spell damage.

The US popular one is SotIS. I hate DOTA so I wouldn't know.

Also, you should all play Nexus Word Wars.

Apparently I'm awesome at FFA's, 4 FFA wins in a row.
In one game I finished the enemy next to me, and the one on the other side attacked me and destroyed my base, but then he got distraceted and didn't finish the job, I threw expansions everywhere, and built 15 warp gates, and pumped stalkers like crazy, then I roll'd over the other two.
it was awesome :D
nevr seen so many stalkers in a none costume game

Man, mass stalkers makes me think of this Phantom game I played. Two friends and I were chatting over Skype, and one of them managed to be the Phantom in a GvE game. So when some guy started accusing him of being the phantom we managed to convince everyone else that the accuser was the phantom. The game lasted long enough that there were just insanely large armies. 50 warp gates ftw.
Escape will make me God.

Never heard of Phantom before. Sounds fun, I guess.

I've played a bit of FFA lately, mostly to practice my Terran (which still sucks balls). I tend to lose because I attack/harass everyone to make sure no one is turtling up and running over me later in the game, but since people are vengeful bastards, it tends to backfire. The constant whining some people do over "OMG you're all attacking me, how unfair qq" diminishes the fun, though. That shit happens, it's why it unranked. In one game the Zerg player constantly whined about us ganging up on him, even though towards the end, I was attacking both of them at the same time.

I love Phantom. We were able to convince everyone that one of my friends was not the Phantom and instead blame my other friend who was a Slayer. They even apologized to my friend and helped defend him while he rebuilt.

The cross-region play probably won't come in the next patch either... Blargh.

So even though I gave the SC2 Galaxy Editor no credit from the start, it turned out even worse than that somehow

I don't get how Blizzard became this stupid. They want the modder community to develop one way, to be WC3 on steroids, but they've actually devolved from WC3.

What's wrong with it? It seems fantastic to me.

I'm a fucking pro at Nexus Word Wars, learning how to type from Typing of the Dead has really paid off in spades there.
