You don't become one by asking. You get recommended when it is decided that an area needs moderation, or more moderation. Asking the last way to ever become a moderator.

The best way to be considered for recommendation is simply be a competent, rule-abiding member of the forum. Note that this does not mean pretend like you have authority when something goes wrong. Just inform the person if it's a minor mistake, or report it.

Typically, people who have been around a while get asked first. Currently, there are too many moderators, in my opinion.

It's a janitorial position, really. I don't see why people think it's a big deal.

That's what it is in reality, but you know how people think. They see it as a position of power or importance. The ability to tell people what to do.

And thats why they want to become one so badly.
I used to once, but after some realizations, I couldn't care less :D
You guys get the job done well anyway.

Well, It boils down to doing janitor work. However janitors don't get a say in board meetings, nor can they fire people if necessary.

So, it is a position of power. Just not really a glamorous one like some people think it is. I suppose that's a slightly better way to word it.

I like that "position of power". But yeah, too many moderators in my opinion. Although... some have abused of their privileges.

I know. I'm still pissed because they locked my "Arby & Chief" thread.

OMG!!! THAT WAS SO FUCKING FUNNY!!!

I think we should get rid of Todd and Travis, I mean, they are funny, but there are too many characters for the franchise.

lol pure genious!

They could be saying something like that in my "Arby & Chief" thread, instead of waiting a week or two for a single fucking post...

Here's a good one that didn't really deserve a thread.

Don't post links to dead threads. There are many newbies that would love to revive them.

I think it might be a sign of the inner extreme gamer when one does not find Mass Effect deep enough and is surprised that others think that it is. After about sixty odd hours of gameplay, I don't find it deep. I've read everything, beaten the game, done the side-quests, and even bought that overpriced downloadable content. Now I doubt whether or not I will find Oblivion deep enough for me when I play it or if Guild Wars only seems deep to me because of the fact that it has a bunch of items and such with which to customize your character to a suitable ass-kicking level of power.

I'm having a certain issue with Blizzard. I decided to start playing Warcraft 3 online again, but I couldn't remember the password of my account. So, I sent the recory thing to Blizzard using both of my e-mails, since I'm not sure which one I used. It's been a week and I got no reply from a thing that should have been received seconds after I sent that. What do you guys think I should do?

Wait longer? If not, you could always just make a new one as long as it doesn't cost you anything.

For Warcraft 3 it's completly free, it just kinda pisses me off that they are taking so long to reply to a recory e-mail...

Halo for DS? I demand links, and even before I see them, I'll go ahead and say "Bullshit, I ain't getting that!". I played a Metroid demo, and the first FPS I'm getting for my DS is that one.

Dude, after 90 days accounts on WC3 are deleted because they are free to make and you can make an infinite number for a single IP address.
