Although it may look small (1 inch thick) the way the phone book was created made tearing it in half quite difficult. I had much tension on my arms because it wouldn't stay straight, so it always keeps flopping. The size of the phone book also made gripping quite a hassle, so you have to position your hand differently at some point.

Oh yeah, it was the 135th birthday of the phone book two days ago, so this was kind of a belated occasion.
