To bad the seasons in general are kinda.. bad. I never got into it, maybe because season 1 started off to slow for my tastes. LOVE mortal kombat, huge fan.

I wonder how many people truly think mortal kombat is somehow relevant to this day and age, specially when most games released after the snes era were kind of shit. I don't know, i just don't relate the name "Mortal Kombat" with the words "Good Quality".

I feel you. Ever since the went 3d with MK4, the series has gone downhill. Though I hear the "reimagining" was pretty decent.

People don't play Mortal Kombat for its innovative or ground-breaking game engine or plot, we play it to kill people in gruesome manners. It's the same shit as why people flock to Soul Calibur and Street Fighter.

The games in general were kind of shit.
The games. Not the motives.
The games themselves were pretty piss poor technically, enginecally and everythingcally.
They were bad games.

Why do people still get excited over bad games?
Because if its violence you want there's plenty other games that feature it.
Some are even better.

Yes, the fighting is very clunky, not smooth at all (compare Tekken) and the graphics suck, which I find typical of western games, from my experience.

Everyone shares the same hitbox and most models share the same base.
Try silhouetting every character and put them next to each other.
You can't figure out who's who. Basic game design 101.

-Shrug- Then I suppose it's the bloated sense of nostalgia I get from it. It was an symbol of my Childhood memories once. I certainly don't hype it up for a new release, could really care less, but it's fun to go back to every so often.

everyone liked the creative concepts in the game if not the execution and since this is a series of watchable material and not a series of playable material it'll perfectly reasonable watching material. I legit enjoyed the Raiden episode partly because the guy was so without confidence that he had to say "now hear me out guys" at the beginning of the episode, and because i'm always fond of a good insane asylum backdrop. Oh also 7 of 9 is Sonya woa!!!!!!!!!!

I really enjoyed Scorpian and Sub-Zero too of course but that goes without saying. They is THE characters.

They've always been the icons of MK, two of the most bitter rivals hellbent on revenge and redemption.

The addition of Ermac into all this tickles me in ways I never though possible.
