I haven't seen that in quite some time. I've always wondered what they did to make sure it pretty much always sounded nice. I figure the first part is just being the same key signature, but just two notes right next to each other don't quite work sometimes on a piano. Therefore, they must be spaced out somehow. If I didn't do so badly at ear training that my teacher gave up, I'd probably figure what notes they were.

Also, if you aren't blinded by the lights or forget whether the dark or light is what you use for circle/X, go play tic-tac-toe.

Edit: I think there seems to be a lot of potential in this flash file. With the right timing, you could try two of the files and try to make a musical pattern that synchronizes with each other, cap at three.

For those caring about the musicality of it, yes it uses a pentatonic scale to ensure that everything sounds nice and harmonic. Pentatonic scales are also used in blues guitar, and many forms of music.

Well if they are all going constantly then it will just sound like a clustertone constantly. But otherwise, even with all the notes clicked in one column, it isn't necessarily dissonant.
