Speaking of chess my 8 year old cousin living in Atlanta won a chess tournament against a bunch of kids a few years older than him.

Yep, have to gamble on a few guys that you hope no one else will pick to produce for you, while still making sure enough of your picks match up with other people's so you can keep pace with the pack.

They pretty much executed everything wrong with SC2, especially the customs scene and the editor which prohibited me from remaking a popular map of mine from WC3. A new player shouldn't even need what you said Calek. Oh well. It's a shame WC3 is dead for the most part.

I think Blizzard is losing their touch on RTS games.

A new player may not need all the build orders or the strategies that are currently available, but they certainly don't hurt. Especially the simple easy builds like the 4 gate for Protoss which teaches basic mechanics and makes the player learn why you build things at certain times.

Which is why I suggest them because it teaches you how to play the game.

It was alright; it has the humor and charm but it lacked a story, new characters, partners, any sort of leveling up system, new enviorments, and dialogue from Bowser (seriously he doesn't talk at ALL in this game).
Also I found every boss encounter in the game to be HORRIBLY unbalanced, the fights are either too easy or too hard. All the bosses have way too much health (the first boss has 90 HP while the 2nd one has 300 HP) and you deal very little damage, the most you can inflict is about 6 points a turn. The only way to stand a chance is to use a specific special sticker on them and that completely fucks them up, making the rest of the fight a joke.
