Like I don't do the same thing when you and who ever is talking about weed or some other topic that I'm not a fan of or familiar with until someone steers or introduces a topic I have more equal footing on. My bigger gripe is the fact that people feel like their being rude for trying to steer the conversation or drum up and competing conversation and especially when it's obvious that the topic has been dead for a while and there are people lurking.

I wish people would just post what they felt like talking about and if no one responds try again later. I also feel that there is a problem in that certain topics don't come anymore because we just assume no one wants to talk about them, music is probably the biggest one because everyone just assumes that everyone else's taste in music is shit.
