And the good lord sayeth: Come forth The Talk Thread XVIII!

This forum can be a scary place, 'cause we got lax rules: let's see your war face. Take a breath, and roll the dice, you might find out we're really nice.

Not an expert on that sort of thing, but I hear that, in general, the Japanese are more lax about copyright laws than Americans are, which might explain why it's easier to get your hands on scans of a manga than it is on scans of western comics. There are exceptions, of course, but that seems to be the general case.

Ding ding. There's no advantage for publishers because said comic books aren't available in other languages months before they will be released in America.

I think they did as well.

By the way, I read your story, Crum.

I left my comments over there.

Just a heads up.

Anyway, how's everyone doing tonight.

I missed it almost.

it's really good. I can't wait to see it finished.

You know you don't HAVE to do this.

I love it, though.

Amazing stuff

That's actually quite interesting.

I wish I could stick around long enough to see the fruits of the path humanity is on.

I had one come out. Was painless. Still got 3 others to come out though, if they ever do.

kill it with fire
"Suddenly Frodo noticed that a strange-looking weather-beaten man, sitting in the shadows near the wall, was also listening intently to the hobbit-talk. He had a tall tankard in front of him, and was smoking a long-stemmed pipe curiously carved. His legs were stretched out before him, showing high boots of supple leather that fitted him well, but had seen much wear and were now caked with mud. A travel-stained cloak of heavy dark-green cloth was drawn close about him, and in spite of the heat of the room he wore a hood that overshadowed his face; but the gleam of his eyes could be seen as he watched the hobbits."

Train travel is awesome. I prefer it to plane travel. I would take the train as opposed to flying if I could. I'm not afraid of flying or anything, just train travel feels more relaxed and you have more room and you get to watch the country go past.
