I went to see it with my class. Most didn't understand what the fuck was going on, who the old lady was and why they called her m, who was the black woman that hadn't showed up in that other movie we saw, etc. Initially it is a movie for fans or people who watched other bond movies (and yes in Mexico, there is people who don't really know who james bond is despite the recent movies). You don't really need to know about the bond universe to enjoy the movie, but that doesn't mean what i just said doesn't matter.
Idk, some things didn't sit well with me. A few small nothings like bond being presumably dead and still having money and resources to party hardy while he was hurt. Principally all the buildup to introduce the bad guy, how they made him look like he was all powerful, how he could do everything he did and soooo much more like controlling elections and burning children and all that "you've never faced a man like him before" bullshit, and yet at the end of it, despite being a multimillionare power that could blow up shit with the press of a button, he personally went with a chopper and a few armed thugs to deal with bond. Even when considering he wanted to be the one that finished m up, why he brought just a teensy tiny fraction of manpower seemed illogical, given that he's supposed to be like an "evil james bond" and was always a step ahead because he was, again supposedly, dangerously genre savvy. At the end of the movie, only three of us made sense of the black chick's name after she tells it to bond.
