I see. I was meaning it like maybe in general I value what's happening with one girl more than the other. Idk
Unless that's also part of what you meant. In which case I'm going to blame this hangover

If you're thinking of one just as much as the other if not more so than you are putting something extra on your thoughts of her.

Fuck Vanek is an Islander, at least he'll be in Minnesota next season.

Both of them are UFA's so I'm guessing the Islanders see him as a piece of the puzzle or as a bargaining chip at the deadline because the Metro conf is all bubble teams.

If you don't mind me asking.
we were at different points in our lives and we wanted different things. we ended amicably and mutually and stayed friendly because we get invited to a lot of the same parties.

i don't really know what to do. she does have a boyfriend. i was there first. i don't want the same problems to arise if we do get back together. i do miss her, though, i've never felt like anyone's understood me better than she did.

don't mean to rant. that talk just kinda fucked with my head.

Unless you guys are closer to being on the same page leave it alone. There's no point pursuing a relationship if it's just going to end all the same, there's also the fact that she's dating someone and trying to break them up might cost any relationship you have with her.

i ain't gettin involved in her relationship. if she wants to break it off with him that's her deal. i don't see her too often any more, but seeing her last night was the first time we've had a serious conversation since the split up

just gonna keep livin my life and let her make a move. we did kiss last night, for a while, but she pulled away when my hand went too far up her thigh, saying she couldn't do that to her boyfriend. she's always been good like that. slightly susceptible to temptation, but always does the right thing.

Pacific Rim has to be the dumbest awesome movie I've ever seen. Or maybe the most awesome dumbest movie... Not quite sure.

There's just so much wrong with the logic in that movie, but fuck it all, giant robots punching giant monsters is cool to watch.

It's helluva step up from the old Godzilla movies, so I'm cool with it.

We need more giant robot movies.

I wanna see an Armored Core movie myself. Not exactly giant (maybe three or four stories tall typically), but I just like the series. Heard there was one in the works, but it's just rumors at this point.

As for blockbusters, Pacific Rim was an interesting take on giant robots, what with the whole "two pilots" thing.

Guys, the voice of Edna Krabappel just died two days ago. And with it, the character is being retired.

Fuck.

Like, wow. Even though the show isn't anything like it was before, this lady's been there since the beginning.

Hat's off to you Marcia Wallace.

"Suddenly Frodo noticed that a strange-looking weather-beaten man, sitting in the shadows near the wall, was also listening intently to the hobbit-talk. He had a tall tankard in front of him, and was smoking a long-stemmed pipe curiously carved. His legs were stretched out before him, showing high boots of supple leather that fitted him well, but had seen much wear and were now caked with mud. A travel-stained cloak of heavy dark-green cloth was drawn close about him, and in spite of the heat of the room he wore a hood that overshadowed his face; but the gleam of his eyes could be seen as he watched the hobbits."

Ignore dialogue and focus on the fights. Probably that middle 20-50% of the movie post-Alaska and pre-Hong Kong is the worst since there's no Kaiju fighting.

Damn it, this sucks. I loved the show, especially in the early years. Most everyone I know will be saddened by this.

Even the fights themselves can be pretty dumb at times. Like when they used cargo containers as brass knuckles, what was the point of that? Or the really ineffective rocketpunch, which didnt really punch any harder than a regular punch. And I'm not even touching the whole sword thing.

Still, I wouldnt mind if they ever decide to make a sequel. The world could use more dumb awesome movies.

That's what giant robot/monster movies should be, for shit's sake Godzilla would throw dropkicks in the old movies. There was no explainable reason for it but it was cool as hell.

I liked it better in those days, when creators weren't hard pressed by society to show a level of research behind every work of fiction created that justified in some shape or form every illogical fallacy that deprived the work from being "realistic".

Godzilla is still my most favorite childhood movie. Not for story, but just because giant fucking creatures killing one another. What kid doesn't like that? And it seems perfectly logical in the eyes of a child. So Pacific Rim sounds like it's one of those movies that scream "why the fuck not"
