I'm guessing they're going to start putting ads on jerseys or something. Guys have been tucking in for decades and fighters have been wearing shortened sleeves for just as long. The only one I can agree with is making sure the inseam of the pant legs aren't ripped because that could lead to a femoral cut.

Why is it a thing that hockey players often duke it out? You don't see that in football or basketball, and rarely have seen it in baseball. Usually when a player doesn't like another player, they just go after them often in an underhand manner. But with hockey, gloves off knuckle brawling. Why don't other sportsmen do that more often?

It's like in Nascar: many people go to them just to see if a car will crash.

Oh god, I really hope they don't go the ad route. Ya, and mostly elite players tuck/have tucked, so it really just seems like they're shooting themselves in the foot. I agree with the pant thing, the other things just don't seem justified.
"Suddenly Frodo noticed that a strange-looking weather-beaten man, sitting in the shadows near the wall, was also listening intently to the hobbit-talk. He had a tall tankard in front of him, and was smoking a long-stemmed pipe curiously carved. His legs were stretched out before him, showing high boots of supple leather that fitted him well, but had seen much wear and were now caked with mud. A travel-stained cloak of heavy dark-green cloth was drawn close about him, and in spite of the heat of the room he wore a hood that overshadowed his face; but the gleam of his eyes could be seen as he watched the hobbits."

Tuor, any input as to why other sports don't see as much fist fights as hockey? I'd expect you'd have a better insight on this matter.

There's actually a bunch of codification as far as the fighting goes. It does go out the window a bit if the guy who's catching a beating threw a cheap shot on a star. Also, the fighting in hockey is usually short or not explosive because you don't have the footing to knock a guy out or your opponent can just wrestle you down to the ice quickly, so it's safer than in most other sports.

Also, the penalty for fighting in the sports you mentioned, pwned, is more severe than it is in hockey. Plus, it has been a part of the game for a long time, it's very much a part of the culture, in North America more especially until recently.

This is what i meant by saying "i really don't get it".
Mr. Sefrol wrote:Why don't other sportsmen do that more often?
I could respond to this but i think i know nothing about hockey and i can't mouth off about what i find ridiculous just because i don't know about it, but the premise does seem to be a thing that has become some sort of glorified tradition, despite the whole cavemen-ish, savage part that throws me off about it. Then again i'm a pussy that prefers ways of conflict resolution that doesn't involve the physical harming of another human being.

The fighting isn't even american, in most cases the american players don't even fight.

Ya, seems like it's going to be such a bothersome thing to call, and a worrisome thing for the players, ugh

I've always loved Victor. Batman in general just has some of the most heart breaking villains. Victor to me was the most interesting to me and just how he's always thinking of Nora is the most hurtful part.

To think he started off as a one-time villain and thanks to the animated series he turned into what he is now.
That cartoon created a lot of wonderful stuff.

I enjoyed him there, although his fight was annoying.
And I swear I heard the voice he has there somewhere else, just dunno where.

Freeze was originally just a gimmick character from the 50s-60s, who used cold weapons. It was TAS that gave him the sympathetic backstory and Mike Mignola the creator of Hellboy created his design, he was voiced by Michael Ansara. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Ansara

No, wasn't talking about the TAS Mr. Freeze, the AC one.
And I just checked, same dude that voiced Brain from Pinky and the Brain.

What were all the changes in TAS that were brought over to the comics. I know Freeze's new backstory, Harley and Renee Montoya made the cross over.

There were also drastic changes made to Clayface and the Clock King was given life again, since he was a lesser known villain.
