Ya, the opening of Ingourious Basterds is A+. The actor that plays LaPadite was great, and I regret not knowing the actor's name, so I went to look it up. Denis Ménochet, other movies that I've seen with him in it, he was not as memorable. Maybe because this time around he was speaking french.

So I've been playing Shadowrun Returns. It's pretty cool, i never play turn based games but this game is simple enough for me to not feel overwhelmed.

shit fucks with my head.

people born after 9/11 can have actual conversations about serious things now.

What did me in was I'd seen Pulp Fiction as a kid, but it'd been a while since I rewatched the film as a whole.

So somehow my memory only kept everything before Bruce Willis rides off, and everything post Marvin. So one day I start the film from the beginning, and believing myself already familiar with what happens, see Vincent get blown away as the toaster dings. I had thought for years that Vincent just gets played out at the end by that surfer song. I was kind of dumbstruck for a moment as I had no idea what I'd just seen. I suppose it's similar in effect to how audiences felt back when it actually came out.

I didn't even watch Pulp Fiction until I was like... 19.

Was 17 for me. Don't think I would have been into it or even understood it as a kid.

I didn't watch Pulp Fiction until about a year ago. As a kid, I was more into Schwarzenegger films, James Bond, Stallone. Classic action movies like that. Not until recently that I developed taste in good movies.

I only saw it for the first time a couple of weeks ago. Because it came on on tv.

Saw Pulp Fiction first time when I was about 18, 9 years ago. Still my favorite Tarantino movie.

django has an awesome one.

two morricone songs, because tarantino almost always picks songs he's heard in other films, but they work terrifically.

Grey wrote:i just had to rewatch the opening scene of inglourious basterds because i started thinking about what a fantastic actor christoph waltz is and remembered that scene

that french dude was amazing in that scene too. despite the spectacle of the violence in the film, my major memory of the film is the trepidation and reluctance with which the frenchman reveals that he is harbouring jews. it's a fantastic scene

Since you mentioned both Django and Inglourious Basterds, I loved Django's soundtrack, but I loved the themes Tarantino chose for Inglourious Basterds even more. Especially L'incontro Con La Figlia, which plays during the scene you described and Un Amico    which plays when Shosanna shoots Zoller.

Has anyone here played New Vegas on PS3? Wondering if anyone else has had issues with it freezing every few hours and possible solutions for resolving the issue.

Did you faint?

Nah, it never effects me really. I've never felt sick or light-headed after giving blood.

I always hear about people having rough experiences after it though.

It's kind of different for everyone.

Well I know that Whatis.

But I'm alright, I've given blood like 4 or 5 times and I've been fine everytime. But I've heard about people getting nauseous or passing out, and also being stuck with the needle a number of times. I don't mind it, and I've always had good experiences.

ALSO, Stuff, where you been? Welcome back.
