Bioware made me think of Dragon Age, and how I recently continued an old playthrough as a Noble Human Warrior who wields great swords
"Suddenly Frodo noticed that a strange-looking weather-beaten man, sitting in the shadows near the wall, was also listening intently to the hobbit-talk. He had a tall tankard in front of him, and was smoking a long-stemmed pipe curiously carved. His legs were stretched out before him, showing high boots of supple leather that fitted him well, but had seen much wear and were now caked with mud. A travel-stained cloak of heavy dark-green cloth was drawn close about him, and in spite of the heat of the room he wore a hood that overshadowed his face; but the gleam of his eyes could be seen as he watched the hobbits."

Rage 2 years ago, but the problem is that they are stuck in a bubble of alienating fans who want something more modern and those who want throw backs to the 90s. The other problem is that idTech has fallen of the face of the development landscape and this next gen is probably going to see fewer in house and genre specific engines than ever before and if they can't steal a slice of the pie from Unreal they will have problems. What will be left of the inhouse engines will be used across genres, as EA is already planning with the next gen Frostbite.

They've released more remakes and reiterations of their old shit, like Doom 3 BFG in 2012. Not that it really counts though.

I think you should be asking when have they released their last GOOD game.

Ugh, EA.

What I would give to see them wiped off the map, and their studios scattered to better corporations.

Saw OZ today. A great movie about how if you lie enough, you become king. I guess.

Have any of you seen "Olympus Has Fallen" of "Spring Breakers"? Trying to decide which to go see with some buddies tomorrow.

That would never happen and any companies large enough to get a hold of their assets would be just as bad.

The sad thing about that Disney and LA thing is that Disney will now keep the copyrights to games like Grim Fandango, Sam & Max, or the Monkey Island series. So no chance of an indie remake now.

At least not for the next ~100 years until the copyright wears off. Because you know, how is poor Disney supposed to make a profit on a game in less than 100 years?

I saw Spring Breakers. It was good. It was looking at "the dark side of Spring Break" or something.
Review from someone who really liked it.

Hmm, "Spring Breakers" seems to be a lot more think-y than I thought it was going to be

Yeah. Why don't you just watch one of the movies and sneak into the other? I've done it multiple times.

Also, trailer to this movie.

I won't lie: I have the book series, and I saw the 1st movie in theaters (which was pretty bad). So this movie... ehhh I'm shaky about it.

It's kinda strange how we're getting 2 movies about the attack on the White House in the same year; Olympus Has Fallen and White House Down. Not a good year to work in the White House...

Just like alien movies. Huge planet, always go for America.

I think the only alien movie (well, that I've seen) that went to another country (Africa) is District 9. Any other movies you guys could think of?

Well, obviously, but in terms of movies that to relate to stuff happening on/to Earth

I said "another country". Space doesn't count as a country.
