I remember watching like, one or two episode of a Sonic show. For some reason I think it was CGI-ish

I remember there was a show in the early 90s that's about all I remember.

I personally stayed away from video game adaptations for a while after the Super Mario Bros. Movie.

Goddamn.

There were 3, dude who did Steve Urkel voiced Sonic on all of them.
I think the most popular one was Sonic Underground, which is the only one I actually didn't like.

This one was my favourite, it was just comedy.

Redhead is Sally, I assume they adapted this look into the comics after the cartoon.

Ok, it was definitely Sonic Underground that I saw a couple episodes of.

@Hiryu: Really? I keep hearing that people hated Sonic Underground, and given how cringe-worthy the show was, it's not all that hard to see why. I think it's also why the show was cancelled early before it ever got around to a resolution (It's ironic that the theme song boasts that "They made a vow their mother would be found," but the show ended before that ever came to pass). If anything, I usually hear that most people liked Sonic SatAM, given it's serious nature and all.

Usually, if I ever see someone liking Sonic Underground, their sole reason was because it introduced Manic. Lots of fan girls liked Manic, lol.

Heh, must be here then. I keep saying it's the worst one and I'm told to shut my whore mouth because it was the best one.

Satam was the one that better captured the whole damn Sonic universe.

Ahhh, that's most likely it. Culture differences are funny like that, I suppose. XD
My brother and I personally found it hard to sit through Sonic Underground. First five minutes of the show, my brother forced me to turn it off because he couldn't handle it, lol.

Yeah, I'd definitely say that's accurate, with regards to SatAM.

Ugh. Sonic Underground. It was always on in the mornings before I went to school. I liked the other two shows, though.

Satam was the one that better captured the whole damn Sonic universe.

It's the continent difference, Sonic Underground was made by a French studio, and had constant re-runs on large and influential German and French networks. Thus I guess some European people are nostalgiafagging for it. In North America SatAM seems most fondly remembered, while the 1st series remains the most popular,, since it helped launch the Archie comic, I believe.

I find all 3 to be varying degrees of bad, honestly. I watched the 1st series as a kid and found it unfunny from what little I saw as an adult it does not age well, never watched SatAM in youth I only watched a few clips of it as an adult and didn't like it, when Underground started I was a teen and I thought it awful and cringe worthy even then, intro song is passable I guess.

Most adult fans of Sonic cartoons whose opinions I've read, just seem to be furries who have the hots for Sally (or Sonic/Tails, if they're female). The two of you are pretty rare exceptions.

I see little reason to watch the 3 Sonic cartoons as an adult, with the 90's having such awesome cartoons with plenty of adult humor/themes like the Tick, Animaniacs or Batman TAS:

Someone posted it on a different forum, it's from some obscure French parody comic.

I've always been a huge Sonic fan, first game I played was the Sonic the Hedgehog 1 one when I was 3 years old. I own most dreamcast and genesis Sonic games, I had vhs tapes with all episodes of Adventures of Sonic and to this very day I still play most Sonic games.
But having the hots for an animal? Nuh-uh, not happening.

I've been a fan of Sonic the Hedgehog for a while, though I think I leaned more towards "those annoying Sonic fans" in my earlier years in the fandom, especially when I was between the ages of 13-16 and all (specifically, around the time that Sonic X was a big deal). Drew a lot of fancharacters, though through the years, I've grown attached to a handful of them and have adapted them into their own characters outside of the Sonic universe. Idk if I can completely rid them of their Sonic influences, though. :x But ehhh... *shrug*

Funny thing is, I think I'm a bigger Crash Bandicoot fan than I am a fan of Sonic, though I participated far more in the Sonic fandom.

I wouldn't put it past me. Crash was a great game, and I admit that I loved the games. However, I imagine most "fandoms" are just hardcore retro gamers or people who refuse to let go of the franchise. I don't think they make Crash games anymore, do they?

They stopped after the last few were crap, but I'm sure they'll try to revive it in a cash grab toy thing like Spyro has been. Fucking Activision.

Armed gunmen in Belgium robbed 50 million in diamonds from a airport.

Screw work, we should all go into jewel theft.

No, I don't think they do. Last I heard, Crash was going to "retire" to games for the iPhone, I believe? But outside of one game that was supposed to act as a carbon copy of Nitro Kart (released back in May 2010), I haven't really heard much else.

The last major game released was Crash: Mind Over Mutant, and that was back in...2008.

I enjoyed Crash of the Titans and Crash: Mind Over Mutant for that aspect, and I liked the random animation style changes they did in Mind Over Mutant, but the nostalgia goggles hated everything else. :T If the game was unrelated to the Crash Bandicoot name, I don't think I would have minded as much, I think.

@Male:

I DO!

Man, my 6-10 year old mind considered that gaming series to be the best ever despite only renting both of them on occasion and never truly beating either. That game was kind of brutal but the music was catchy as the diseases in hell.

I beat the gameboy color version, man that one made me into the box/barrel ice puzzle and "Lost woods" master that I am today.
