I hope the combat systems are expanded.

I think vats could be made even better.

And the first person shooter element really needs resucitation.

I don't want Fallout 4 to become a CoD clones, but some bullet mechanics would be cool.

Destruction, too. I'd like to be able to hide inside a destroyed house, but have bullets wizzing through the walls so it'd feel even more dangerous.

I remember a mod for Fallout 3, FWE. It made medicine scarce, bullets scarce, weapons degraded faster and had even more terrible spread when at shitty condition.

I was always on the edge of my seat, and killing a room filled with Supermutants actually made me feel like I accomplished something.

Actually, surviving any fight was hectic, and I ended up runnning into the bathroom to have my back against a stall.

Mowing down raiders who decided once or twice to just throw a grenade.

A new and improved injury/health system would also be great. Factors like bleedout, concussion, nutrient levels, and calories would be orgasmic.

I don't see how Bethesda would have any trouble, too, seeing as all of what I mentioned are already mods.

Alaska got captured, so it actually ended up with a lot of attention.

It would also be awesome if Power Armor was more in depth.

I would love to customise an old T51b suit to be able to allow me to sprint even faster, or carry more stuff. Maybe make it actually powered by MF cells, or EC packs.

Hawaii is now run by a dictator who turned the volcanoes into lava cannons that can only shoot about two miles out to sea.

Not actually canon. Totally sounds plausible for Fallouts universe though.

If Hawaii did have a ruler, it would probably be the Enclave, because they used to have their base on an oil rig off by Hawaii but it was blown up.

It felt like more of a western.

It's relative, for the most part.

That was kinda the theme of the game

What I didn't like about New Vegas, was that the story just wasn't as compelling as the one from Fallout 3. Gameplay wise, it was a good improvement

I did love how Fallout 3 started when you were actually fucking born.

I think the strength that Fallout 3 had over New Vegas was how you could roleplay 100% better than being told you were a courier and you had to go kill the dude who shot you.

Fallout 3 DID say, "Go find your dad," but it was much more lax.

A lot of people thought the main story in FO3 was really weak, since it's basically just "go purify the water", whereas you are deciding the fate of empires in NV. Only problem with that though is you can't easily have post-game gameplay with that since so much of the content is faction dependent.
