Gone. Just like that. Here's a picture from the article that I would love to see a movie made out of using this concept:

Oh yeah, I was told about this just a few hours ago from my friend. Was helping him find something in his room, found like stacks and stacks of them. Then he told me the news about them being cancelled, and he looked pretty bummed.

People still buy magazines? Even though websites get you the news faster, and with added benefit of videos?

Don't really see the loss here

Because of what it means, asmo? An age where you wrote things on paper, put them into strange shaped metal boxes, and got replied a few weeks with a thick, tangible, real, physical object with lots of images of nintendo stuff that made you shit yourself with excitement when you were little, now reduced to the "convenience" of the internet where you, with the same T_T face, browse google looking for that specific answer of that one game, and in less than 5 minutes you close the browser (still with the same T_T face) and go play that game you can finish in a couple of days and forget about it the meal of the next day.

I still can't finish mario 3 in super mario all stars even though i got the nintendo power issue with the walkthrough on it. :C

It sucks that Nintendo apparently wasn't helpful in trying to get the magazine more digitalized. That probably would have saved them.

I loved Super Mario All Stars

especially the version of Super Mario Bros. 3 in it.

Not to brag but.... screw it, I'm bragging.

I beat Super Mario Bros. 3 from start to finish twice. Once by using every whistle I came across to finish it really quickly and once by not using any whistles and just playing straight through the game.
Zero strategy guides were used in the beating of that game.

AND this was back when I still had the SNES so I was roughly age 8-13.

Is this bragging necessary? Probably not.

Did I have to do it? YES!

Do I feel like a bad ass?

Did you go directly from world 1 to world 8 in a playthrough?

Nope, the whistles can only you take as much as 4 levels ahead. But to get to world 8 via whistle you have to use it at world 7. To get to world 7 you have to use it at at least world 3, I believe.

Here's a picture of where the whistle takes you, I believe this will clarify what I'm talking about, maybe.

This is a picture from the original, the all stars version has the same layout just better graphics.

Use a whistle while you're in that area and it'll take you directly to world 8

Oh, I never knew that.

Interesting.

Well, I'm not gonna play it again, not only because I lack the gear but because nostalgia trips depress me when I take them alone.
