I just played my first bit of Minecraft at this guy's house while visiting for his b-day. His brother who makes skins and such showed me some basics, gave me some advice, and got me off to a good start. Then my other friend who was with me waiting for the bus told me some news about the creator, Markus Persson and his marriage/divorce. Made me think the wife was just in it to get his stuff, divorcing him only after she could file for it. Then he tells me about how Swedes divorce. "What's his is his, and what's hers is hers." I wonder if she knew?

Notch divorced Ez (His wife?). I've never heard of that. Nowhere. Ever. Not even on Reddit, which is REALLY good at recycling news.

Anywho, IRL has me down, which is why I haven't updated. My forum is a wasteland that no one uses. I'm surprised I even maintain the news threads about new versions of the game. Honestly it was a neat project and I jumped on the idea because I got my hands on some free forum software to do it. Ideally I'd love to run an entire community from my own machines, but I don't have the free time anymore.

I may have time to bump the server to 1.3, or whatever the current version is. Thanks, Hiryu, for letting me know about the forums. If there's any in game/forum issues that anyone sees, PM me or post it here. I ALWAYS read this thread. I lurk. 8V

Well, once you update the server I can go back to moderating it. I'm currently playing in a 1.3.1 server right now.
Also, just give me the proper powers in the forum and I'll tell the bots to go fuck themselves. I know that you're constantly busy, your wife says so when I go asking for you.

Okay, more stuff from the next patch that looks promising.

Item frame - Displays an item of choice. Shows a working clock, compass and map.
Cobblestone wall - Decorative block, works like a fence. Moss cobble works too.
Flower pot - Yeah, more decoration. Same recipe has the bucket, but with bricks instead.
Carrots and potatoes - Dropped by zombies, can be cultivated. Potato can be baked and carrot turned into a golden one.
Wither - 3 headed floating monster that gives a debuff to anything it doesn't like around it. Also shoots skulls.
Leather armor and dog collars can now be dyed. Just like in Diablo 3.

Another update. The Wither seems to be a boss like mob.
