One of the things I considered with this topic was what it means to be purple. Interestingly, purple isn't really associated with a single EM frequency. Rather, it takes some combination of multiple frequencies. Could gravity waves with a spectrum that would appear purple in light be called purple?

I know that purple used to be reserved only for Persian royalty...
