yeah Zodiac I just cut out those two pictures. The one is too large in size and the other way WAY too large in file size. some people don't have super fast internet that like to browse the forums and that's very inconsiderate. And then the large large signature is also in the forums rules as a no no, cuz that's just really really annoying when a post is three words and signature takes up half a page.

A ROM can never replace a truly awesome game, It's one of those things... It never feels the same playing your favorites games as ROMs. However, they're great for games you wouldn't/couldn't buy when they were out...

thats mostly what i use them for.

ROMs replace games if you know how to get the job done. And getting the job done means picking the right controller. For example, I find LOZ:MM(legend of zelda: Majora's mask.) to be just as enjoyable as a ROM on my xbox as it was on the original cart. Or, another example. I find games played on a playstation emulator with a controller that's practically an exact copy of a PS controller to be just as good as on the original console.

Oh, and newbie thing. I'm new, I found the site through a link to the PPG doujin in a person's signature at megatokyo, I'm a gamer, and 99% of the time I'm broke. hence I know way too much about emulation.

I see. I personally have a rule about pirating: Never DL something that the creator will still get money for. For example, the only way to get a copy of gundam battle assault 2 here is used, so I wouldn't feel too evil if I DLed a copy. On the other hand, if it was something else new and popular, I would feel like a bad, bad man for taking from the company's profits.

not the best personal system, but I doubt people care if I DL NES goodness.

Win what? A contest? The thread? Everything? And was it because of my system of only DLing if the people who deserve the money wouldn't get any anyways, or because of my love for the eight bits?
