I disagree, you don't need to think to live, but you do need to live to think.

But how do you define sanity?

I always thought it was how close your mind is to the average human mind.

Now here's the correct response, Quinny. A response you did not give me. Anyway, a sane man doesn't want to live, but does so anyway? Why is that?

Because otherwise he'd be dead, and every sane man will always fear the unknown, admittedly this may be overwhelmed by curiousity at times but the question of death is the most fearsome as you can not return from the unknown, we do not know completely what comes next and we fear the end of our existence, oblivion, to be forgotten for ever.

The question was meant to be rhetorical, and either way, at this point one is allowed their own response.

A mere rebellion can be conquered easily, but so long as an idea remains planted in the minds of the populace, a revolution will take place over time.

Remember when this thread used to be about Blood leaving?

yeha, we got over it. Besides an idea takes time. Rebellion, much quicker and ultimately neater.

Maybe you should take this philosophical debate to the Talk Thread?

"Suddenly Frodo noticed that a strange-looking weather-beaten man, sitting in the shadows near the wall, was also listening intently to the hobbit-talk. He had a tall tankard in front of him, and was smoking a long-stemmed pipe curiously carved. His legs were stretched out before him, showing high boots of supple leather that fitted him well, but had seen much wear and were now caked with mud. A travel-stained cloak of heavy dark-green cloth was drawn close about him, and in spite of the heat of the room he wore a hood that overshadowed his face; but the gleam of his eyes could be seen as he watched the hobbits."

So I'm not the only one! I know it's actually in the middle of the poem but I can never remember the beginning.
The Walrus and The Carpenter - Lewis Carrol. It's a poem that was in Through the Looking-Glass and What Alice found there.
People usually mush the two books together. Tweedle dee and Tweedle dum were in the second book only.
