Weird, I ask myself that all the time.

My answer to all those questions is "who cares. We'll never find out, and all it does is depress you and give you a headache." Besides, life is such a loose term. We'll are the same decaying organic matter as everyone else, only difference is that some have stopped moving and the rest have been eaten and spread and transformed into some form of matter.
