Lol, even more though.

No but seriously, she treats the mc like garbage for a while.

In the manga, he's like Shinji after the hospital.

But he gets better, which is awesome. Fast too, but not so much as to make it unbelievable.

EDIT: Oh, I forgot to mention.

Chances are slim to nil this'll show up in the anime, but    Rize    gets a bit of backstory as well.

Before she showed up at the cafe, she was running around Japan eating everyone for fun, and killing anyone who stood in her way, human or ghoul. She does not give a single fuck about anyone. She's pretty cool.

She was apparently OP for a ghoul, too.

The fact that    Rize dies in the series shocks tons of people.

In fact, nearly of the female characters aren't your traditional character archetypes.

Or anyone for that matter.

It's written so much better than a lot of manga.

Sorry but don't you think "   The fact that she dies in the series shocks tons of people   " should be spoilered.

Eh, they don't know who I'm talking about, though.

Not Touka, if that's what you think.

By the way, guys, second episode is already up. Damn fast.

Yeah except now I know a female character is going to die. Sorry if I am being annoying, never used to care about spoilers. Except I feel like surprises are ruined when are expecting them and in the past whenever I try to avoid spoilers it always seems impossible.

She dies within the first chapter/episode.

I don't consider it spoilers.

I was saying I'm reading Koe No Kitachi and asked how good Tokyo Ghould was, thus, the insuring conversation took place.

It's not so bad so far. Some of the main characters are dicks of course, but I'll continue reading to see how they change later on when the time skip happens.

Yeah, the beginning made me go oops, I opened my mouth too much.

That whole Rize psych projection though, that's new. I mean, it kinda happens later, not saying when, or how. But what they're doing now is awesome, and they should definitely incorporate that in the manga.

I'm curious to know how you're going to feel about a certain mask, among other things. But I'll stop there.

You end up reading any of the manga?

Not yet, ended up going to the beach for the weekend so I haven't had a chance. I'll probably do it tonight. I have it bookmarked.

Yo, Koe no Katachi is up.

This whole chapter gave us some insight into Yuzura, Shouko, and their mother. Ueno too. I admit, I didn't expect a full on fight, haha.

Yuzuru was probably trying to catch the inherent sadness of the dead in her photographs, to show her sister. That failed.

Nishimama (Good nickname for the mother) is definitely tougher than she looks. But she's a lot tender too.

Ueno I think got the most development. She seems to feel some guilt for her violent tendencies, but she can't stop herself. Destructive for all, I guess.

Shouko wasn't really there but till the end. But that face makes me think she's going to visit Shouya. Which I'm super happy for.

Honestly, thinking about all this, it's all leading up to a chapter or two from Shouko's perspective, and a lot of exposition. It's going to be a kick in the gut if her reason to want to kill herself comes from Shouya, by the way.

In other news, Koe no Katachi is totally not the reason why I got tears going down my face. It's totally not hitting my feels organ repeatedly, over and over.

Gah.

The reason has to be watching him try so hard to make them all happy. I'm hoping she realizes the feelings she had seeing him fall are the same she'd leave so many others with if she had gone.

Has anyone ever watched an anime for a single scene or event? Like you had absolutely no interest in this anime until you found out it had this and then you were all like "I need to watch this!"?

I can't help but notice the similarity between Nishimiya's new hairstyle and her Mom's. I know that it isn't exactly the same, but it did make me do a double take all the same when I read it.

The closest one for me was probably School Days. I stumbled upon a few of the endings from the visual novel and kept watching to see which one was going to happen.

That is nowhere near as bad as some of mine. Which I shall never talk about for fear of looking like an awful person. Unless someone here had and even worse example that made mine seem better by comparison.

Chihiro Fujisaki's story arc was this for me with Dangan Ronpa.
And then I got sucked into the series, and I'm a bit obsessed, lol.
