Oh god it's too late! I already uncovered the tag. Why can't I resist those damn spoiler tags?! WHY???!!!

It...wasn't really a spoiler, it was just my reaction after everything was said and done...
I just spoiler tagged it because I realized that such a reaction might make others more curious about what happened (like with Tony), so... :x

For someone who still had hope that it would have a happy ending it was definitely a spoiler :(

Hey Tony, I took a look at the first few pages of "Another story". The Mado/Homu romcom gag had me ROFLMAO-ing. That's the story that should be a spinoff. I can already see that the art is even better than in Oriko. I am going to a con tomorrow so I will wait to see if it is on sale and if not then I will just read online.

I finished Oriko. I really wish some of these spinoffs would be made into OVA. It is not like they have to worry about sales.

I wonder, could you possibly tell me is the sony channel still just playing story arks of Black Lagoon? I really do hope not.

Anyone here like the Pokemon adventures manga?

I started watching lucky star recently and I'm quite surprised that I enjoyed it quite well. Although it was boring at first, it got good when it developed into a self aware anime that references other anime. The only character name I really bother to remember is Konata, mostly because she represents the entire directed demographic.

I never watched Lucky Star. From that description, you may like Gintama.

I love Lucky Star. In my cynical state that is me today I'd never like something like that. A lot of slice of life anime is just boring. Luck Star caught me both off guard and during a hard time in my life so I took to it.

I watched lucky star back when I first really started to watch anime on the internet

My favourite character was Hiyuri Tamura. I wonder why...

Every time I tried to watch Lucky Star, my eyes would roll so far back into my skull that it'd be painful.

I can kinda see why people like it, but it just can't.

My slice of life is more Clannad.

By the way, I've downloaded both Sunday Without God and Kara no Kyokai, and I was wondering if anyone has seen either.

Well, this is interesting.

That was a waste of time.

Korra isn't even anime. Why is her picture there?

ANYWAYY

Lucky Star is amazing. I ship Konata and Kagami. Because reasons.

I only watched the first episode... Then stopped. Not that I don't like it, and I've been told after the first one it gets a lot better... But... I'm just lazy.

Re: The Anime Thread.

^ pretty much the same thing happened with me. Never got past the first episode, and never really got the chance to sit and watch the rest.

Re: The Anime Thread.

It's a slow burn and the "it gets better" excuse only works because the bar is set so low and any form of depth is more than welcome after a dozen or so episodes of random shit.

Okay, applying that logic to Lucky Star is like comparing Shakespeare to a pantomine.

They've got very different styles. If you don't like a relaxed atmosphere, don't watch it. Drama and tension, it is not.

I know that, but it has such moments in latter episodes. Just when it burns you out it switches thing up a bit. I'm only brining it up because it applies otherwise I wouldn't waste my time. I have also stated many times how much I like Lucky Star.

Ah, got the wrong impression.

Fair enough.

Nah it's good like many time it's a simple mistake to misread an internet comment giving how there is no tone or voice to convey the meaning.

Guess what. Amazon deal in hentai manga now. Well stock it at least. It seems a bunch of new publisher have popped up and are translating the stuff. I guess with the sudden popularity spike on Anime and Manga and a bigger influx of title appearing out there the demand had to turn to this sooner or latter.

Click at your own risk. But it's on a public site like Amazon, so I guess it's ok? Also this may not be allowed.

I know, reaching for the low hanging fruit here.

Am i the only KLK fan on this site?

Re: The Anime Thread.

Sat Dec 28, 2013 8:15 pm

I wouldn't say I'm a fan. But I do enjoy it. It has it's moments. Sometimes the deliberate crappy animation/humour parts just fail.

Re: The Anime Thread.

I like the fact that it focuses on a more female cast rather than male protagonists.

I'm just kind of burnt out on the whole "this girl likes me WHAAAAAAT" I mean, sure /a few/ guys act like that, but rarely do i see an anime, where both parties are interested, and it doesn't revolve around them either shyly making goo goo eyes at each other all the time, or trying to be intimate but being intterupted by some annoying side character everytime.

Its either that, or in anime's like this. The guy is so focused on fighting that they always border on, or exceed Goku levels of ignorance when it comes to the opposite sex
