jabberish
I just love how people put commas, in places they so obviously, do not belong.

I don't know about you, but I love the Young Justice animated series.
So I became the 44,901st signer of this petition to bring the series back.

I've been buying manga since 2005, mainly been getting Naruto. Now I'm getting Bleach, Yu-Gi-Oh, Akira, Hellsing (soon), Rurouni Kenshi, Attack on Titan (soon) Yu-Yu Hakusho (soon), etc.
I watch the anime too, but, sometimes, I like the manga more. Few exceptions when the anime's better than the manga (i.e. Attack on Titan).
So yeah... reading. Whoooo.

But reading is faster :p
I guess that's more dependent on the individual, but it's usually faster.

Depends on the manga. Some have a lot of actions scenes where it'll just be pages of fighting and little talking, and some will have deep conversations you might have to read multiple times. And also depending on the series, with one book you might be getting 5-10 episodes of the anime adaptation from usually 1 (and below hours) of reading. But then with anime you don't have to focus on it entirely to continue. You can have it playing on the side while you're doing something else, or just let the animation do all the work for you that the reading would, as well as maybe explaining some things better that a manga can't with still images.

There's arguments for both sides that are all valid. So it's just preference with what you feel more comfortable with. There are some series I'd rather read the manga, like Bleach or Deadman Wonderland and watch the anime for like One Piece or Attack on Titan.

I agree that it's preference. Only considering speed tho, I see that reading is a lot faster, in most works. Including the few you've listed.

That is really more your personal preference than anything, though I will admit that often I read a scene in the manga and think "wow, this was made to be animated" but I also really like the manga's art style.

I got two anime I'd like to recommend you all:

The first one is "Kill La Kill" its from the same team that made Gurren Lagan:
http://www.crunchyroll.com/kill-la-kill

And the second is Hajime no Ippo Rising:

These are just two things that appeal to my personal tastes, but some of you might like it as well. I've just been looking up some stuff ever since Attack on Titan got me back into anime.

One of those tragedy anime's that focuses more on a love triangle. In my opinion it wasn't as bad as Clannad, but Rumbling Hearts had a lot I could relate to that made it harder to watch.

I thought After Story was absolutely depressing. I mean, the end where    Nagisa is brought back to like    was stupid, but I mean everything before that was wonderfully done, I thought.

I thought so too, it just didn't bring out my feels. I think one reason could be the fact I saw the god awful movie before the series.

See, I saw the movie after. I thought the movie was sad, but it didn't have as deep of an impact as the series.

I thought the movie was pretty bad, it was the reason I put off the series for a while. Not to mention in comparison, the movie seemed a lot worse.

I remember Rumbling Hearts. I'm pretty sure I finished it, but my memory is a little hazy...   picture book?

I don't remember crying that much during Rumbling Hearts (although it has been a long time), but Clannad made me cry my eyes out...

The movie was just OK (watched it after the series ended).

Rumbling Hearts for me was just brought out that depressing and mood killing shows. And personally I could relate to a lot of that series which made it just that more depressing.

Clannad made me want to slit my wrists and sit in a corner. I cried like a man watching that series. Movie was alright like I said, just not as powerful

To be more precise, it's by Studio Trigger, this being their first actual anime series project. The people who write and direct it however are folks who worked on Gurren Lagann, followed by them creating their own animation studio. Their previous project was Little Witch Academia, which is why I got into wanting to watch it so bad.
