Maybe, but he might be countering what tony said, in which case it would make sense

I was. Just to clarify, before someone makes me look like an asshole again.

Just a personal preference more than anything. But pronouncing the Japanese name just seems like waisted extra effort to try and type, pronounce and say when the English translation is usually a direct translation and easier.

It's not because characters I don't want to die, die..it's how. And the aftermath. The newest episode made me want to die.

Hmm, I see

I don't think very many people actually call it "Shingeki no Kyojin." I think people just prefer its acronym, "SnK," over "AoT" when referring to it. Most people I see refer to it as "Attack on Titan," regardless of which acronym they use. And the Japanese acronym isn't any harder to say than the English one, after all.

Re: The Anime Thread.

Tue Sep 10, 2013 7:09 pm

I guess an Acronym isn't that hard to say. But when people insist on saying the original name in full for reasons like a deep seeded hate against all things English transitory or just to seem closer to it. I just don't understand I mean it's highly likely that if it wasn't for English translations on Cartoon Network back then, then they probably wouldn't even have a second langue to mutilate with their terrible pronunciation.

Again this is a personal tick of mine so you fine people shouldn't bother yourselves over it.

There is a word for people like that. I think people call them Weeaboo's. What a horrible word

I usually just call it by w/e I hear first. Most of the time it's the Japanese name, but in cases like AoT, I hear the English name first.

I do not usually talk to people about things I like but back before the anime was released and it became mainstream, everyone I spoke to who had read it all called it Shingeki no Kyojin. I suspect that is because that was what it was called on the sight I read it on though.

The last episode was evil. Pure unadulterated evil.

Oh god, that episode got me emotional.
Them having to dump the bodies to gain more speed... and seeing Petra's dead body... oh god, did that make me grind my teeth.
Also, for some evil reason, I smile/grin whenever I see someone cry in an anime...

Just you all wait for the finale. I wont spoil what is going to happen but it is of pretty epic proportions.

This is of course no surprise to someone who read the manga. Which will also be the grounds on which we wait for season 2.

Found this on YouTube. Wanted to share it, and this seemed to be the most on-topic thread to do so.

Huh, I hit 1000 posts and didn't even notice...

Well, actually, we have just started including AMVs on this thread viewtopic.php?f=2&t=55054&start=275 So maybe you might like to to take a look and watch some of the videos. But it is fine if you do not want to.

So there's this new Higurashi OVA out. http://www.animefreak.tv/watch/higurashi-no-naku-koro-ni-kaku-outbreak-episode-1-online.

"Whoo!" Say's the masses. But don't start putting lotion on your thighs yet people, because the standard of writing we are dealing with here is below fanfiction quality. What a let down, was really hoping this would amount to something.

I was debating on posting this yesterday, but I guess I will now.

So this was mostly aimed at Stuff (or anyone interested in Higurashi/Umineko no Naku Koro ni) There was this anime that reminds me a lot of those two anime. Heck, I thought it was fairly better actually. Anime is called Dangan Ronpa. It's based off of a video game for the PSP and Vita that I plan on buying soon when they're released in America.

I think we already talked about that. I remember bringing it up whilst pointing out Sefrol's avatar. It's the one with the purple blood that was inspired by Saw.

Re: The Anime Thread.

Sun Sep 29, 2013 12:19 pm

Oh wow, I didn't even make the connection that Sefrol's avatar was from Ronpa. Wow, I mean let me just feel stupid here.

Is it me or has Blood-C always been this boring.

One word Blood-C: "Pacing". (And many more)

I didn't think it was truly horrible, like, nothing on the scale you have going on. However, it did have some rather... lame-ish section that could have been more logical with the addition of a scene or something. It wasn't bad though. I enjoyed it.

So I'm gonna start reading the Rurouni Kenshi manga. Is both the manga and anime good?

I know I've only ever watched the Anime. I also bought Samurai X because of it.

Re: The Anime Thread.

I think either one is good. Watch the anime because fuck books.
