Katawa Shoujo? That disabled girl ero game? I'm certainly impressed they were serious about it. 2ch didn't like the title though. Criticism should be loaded on this one. Rather this than fujoshi.

It was strangely good. Even though it has every reason to be horrible, it was actually better than most of the VNs I have ever played. They handled disability in a mature way, and the characters have actual personalities, instead of, BAWWW I gots no arms.

I need new shit to watch. I'm almost done watching the entire series of Scrubs, and I want a new anime to get into. Prefer subs, but won't care if it's a dub. Unless it makes me want to claw my ears off, and then I will forever hate and want to kill you.

Any preferences?

Not really. I like things from Higurashi no Naku Koro ni to K-On. I don't really watch one type of genre.

Mawaru Penguindrum is interesting, extremely so. Try that.

EXCEL SAGA. I'd say others, but my memory is so bad right now, I can only recall having watched five different anime, though I am certain I've seen plenty more than that.

I'll add them to my To-Do list.

Also, I found a new one that looks pretty cool.

Called: Another

Steins;Gate is amazing, as well.

Black Butler perhaps? Although, Cowboy Bebop or Slayers may be good. I've found myself enjoying the older style of anime recently.

90's ain't that old, bro. Now the 70's. That's old.

I've seen Black Butler already, haha.

I've seen a review of Black Butler. I'm probably not gonna watch it solely because of a lack of effort.

Also, wasn't Yatterman a 70s anime?

Hey Stuff, is Another good? Looks interesting, and horror is one of my favorite genres.

I just saw the first episode, and it looks pretty good so far.

It looked cool from some of the screenshots, but I've been deceived before. I'll give it a go. Post, if you can, anything dark. And/or seinen. If you have the time, that is.

Oh, and Un-Go is interesting. If you like mystery anime, it's good.

I really liked Seikimatsu Occult Gakuin, you might get into it.

I'll check it out. I've been a bit starved for a good anime.

Sorry for the double post, but wow, Another is the first horror anime I've seen in a LONG time to actually be good. The atmosphere is quite powerful. Thanks, Stuff. I suggest this to anyone who's into horror.

You're quite welcome. Are you all caught up? I'm starting episode 8 right now. Episode 9 comes out Tuesday, and should be streaming online somewhere with subs by Wednesday.

I'm on 4, haven't had much time to watch. Hopefully by today I'll be caught up.

Well, I think I've found out who the dead person is in Another.

Re: The Anime Thread.

Sun Mar 04, 2012 6:14 pm

Eh, who do you think it is? Spoiler tags for whoever visits.

Re: The Anime Thread.

Sun Mar 04, 2012 6:21 pm

Duh, it's my thread. I enforce this shit.

Reiko, Kouichi's aunt, and Mikami are the same person. I think Reiko died a little while back, and that's why Kouichi came back to Yomiyama a few years ago, he attended her funeral. That's why Izumi recognized him, because she was also at the funeral. Spoiler for episode 9: And since Reiko was with everyone at the beach, that is why Nakao was killed there. Even though no one is supposed to die outside of Yomiyama.

That actually sounds credible. I don't have any other theories, so at the moment, your's seems the one likely to be correct.
