This is an awesome project and I cant wait till its done!
Ive been drawing alot of EverAfter related stuff recently so I got a pile of pics... If I get anything drawn that I think might be usefull Ill send it in!
I can't assist full time cuz 99% of my time is spent working on my own Game projects.

Ressurected thread. The game isn't dead. It's slow, but there IS progress. I need anyone good with concept art and mapmapking to volunteer. Just add me on MSN. hyperkid_211@hotmail.com.

Also, on the offchance that any 3D character modelers show up, I need help from you guys, too. Peace.

"Question, I didn't really get the intro post, cause I'm slow most likely... but did you say it was a MMORPG sort of thing? Like click and slash?"

No. It is NOT an MMORPG. It is a 3D hack and slash in the vien of, say, Devil May Cry. You use the space bar to slash. For now, anywho.

Shouldn't the space bar be to jump and then other buttons to different kinds of attacks. Just a suggestion.

Maybe. Probably. I have the controls mapped out, I didn't look at them when I posted that, though. But that's not the issue. What is is how I still need help.

You know.. I know some people that draw this kind of stuff for a living. They have no idea what Ever After is, but I'm sure I can get a couple of pics out of them. They draw anime all the time and are pretty damn good. Just give me the specifics and I'll see what I can do. (And yes, I know I don't need to ask here, ProminenceFlare. I just didn't feel like signing in to MSN.)

3D Hack n' Slash? Wouldnt a 2D fighter / 2D scroller be a good idea?

For the fighter, we could include characters not likely to appear on EA, like the Bloody Mary. If possible, put multiplayer (online) options! :P

...It's a 3D hack and slash. End of issue. I'm come too far in development to switch genres.

I kind of agree with Rossfellow, though. You know I would love to see my favorite characters in 3D, but imagine (maybe for your next title) if you could do something along the lines of Metal Slug, but with Ever After characters. You would be able to do many more interesting things with the pixelated ultimate attacks, and the game play would be much more fluent. Running around like in Metal Slug as Red.. haha, ownage.

And a boss battle with Puss in Boots?

Guilty Gear Judgement proved to us that 2D side-scrollers can work even when you use 2D Fighter controls. That way there'll be a variety of moves.

But let's save these ideas for another project.

If I where to create a 2D Everafter it would be like.

Just play the damn demo, the controls are PERFECT for a 2D everafter.

I'm worried this topic is going to get hijacked. Don't, please. You want to talk about a 2D EA game, make a different thread. Don't take this one, please. Thanks.

My apologies if I sound like I'm pestering, but how far along in the project are you?

...Okay, overall, I'm not too far into it. I've got several character modeles of main characters and enemies, and working on one or two basic environments. And there's a crap-ton of music made for this, and there's some storyboards done as well. And of course, the engine progress is pretty far along, including basic physics and such, and we've even got a world editor.

Overall, that's not a lot, but I like the progress I've made; from what I've seen, it's more than several projects. I want to keep with this one, and I'm going to do so.

I could help with concept art, I've drawn a few of the characters in this comic, and they look pretty similar, I just need to submit them to my deviantart.
I'm a bit odd, ... but I'm okay with that. :D ...
