As some of you might or might not know...fairytales used to entertain kids in my country are different from the ones used in Europe and/or the U.S....

I can easily identify the most known ones like " Red Riding hood" or "Hansel and Gretel" (mostly from what i saw on Endling's D.A)...

But others like "Rosie and Posie", that zombie looking guy or the boy with the "talking" shoes...

are they also from other fairy tales?,...or creations of the author ?

Also, if anyone could post some links or informationwhere i could find out more about the real fairy tales from where this characters came from..

(not wikipedia...already tried it...and couldn't find anything)

Thanks in advance....

Rosie and Posie are from the children's little song of the same name. "Ring around the rosie, pockets full of posies. Ashes, ashes, we all fall down!", or something like that. The boy with the talking shoes was Tom Thumb.

I'm going to guess you mean the Dr. Crooked, which, if I'm not mistaken, is from the Mother Goose nursery rhyme about the Crooked Man.

"There was a crooked man, and he went a crooked mile,
And found a crooked sixpence against a crooked stile,
He bought a crooked cat, which caught a crooked mouse,
And they all lived together in a little crooked house."

I'm pretty sure that's where he comes from. And now that "crooked" doesn't look like a word, anymore, I take my leave.

Wow its nice to see another peruvian in the forums.

And yes all fairy tale characters are not from the author, but he did redesign them.

I was talking about one i saw on a character sheet on Endling's D.A

Now that i read the names carefully, it seems to be named "Sprat"

Now, i am not sure if it belongs to "Everafter" or other of his projects.

And thanks for the replies about Tom Thumb (yeah, the seven league boots dont talk  ) and Rosie & Posie (now i kinda understand why they look like that...)

Jack Sprat:

He is the one that traded the family cow for some magic beans. His angry mom thew the beans to the yard and a beanstalk grew overnight.
Jack climbed the beanstalk up to a giant´s house in the clouds and stole his goose that layed golden eggs and a magical talking harp. Once he got down and the giant was still chasing him, he cut the beanstalk making the giant fall to his death and leaving a huge hole in the valley.

No, that's Jack and the Beanstalk. Jack Sprat is different. It's a nursery rhyme.

Jack Sprat could eat no fat
His wife could eat no lean.
And so between the two of them,
They licked the platter clean!

Indeed. Though, the first Jack that was mentioned, the beanstalk climbing hooligan, is also a character in Everafter.

No, not until some fanfic writer comes out with a Everafter/Resident Evil cross over. Jack Sprat just looks kind of... undead in that drawing of him and the rest from a while back.

Jack the Giantslayer looked pretty undead too in the old colored art of him on end's DA...

No one should EVER do an EA REs Evil crossover, ever... that would be...shudder...like dirty Harry Potter fanfiction...gahhhh....
