Everafter Going on Hiatus.

Postby Amaranthine Ali » Sun Sep 03, 2006 2:33 am

Over on Endlings DA site, he has a recent journal entry. For those who don't even bother looking at it. I suggest that you do so. But Be warned.

Endling on DeviantArt wrote: Although concerning Everafter, there may be periodic hiatus' on the horizon. Telling you this now so it doesn't come as a shock later on. If I could concentrate all on getting that story out to you guys as fast as possible I would, believe me. In fact I really wish that were the way life was stacked up right now. But I have to have priorities. And Everafter is still just a personal project. And yes.. keep up with Everafter in the process, in case anyone was wondering.

Noted that Endling has figured out that he wants to expand his horizons, and in other words expand his portfolio to become a professional artist, however he is going to have his own website eventually, he would not be doing anymore deviations, but he can and will be doing submissions to anyone who is willing to pay for them.

I'd say good luck to his future.

He has quite the following on DA. I'm sure his fans will be crushed, as will as his e-mailbox. It's too bad EverAfter will be on periodic hiatus, but it's great that Endling won't be just dropping it. The rare update is much better than no update, especially in regards to such a fun comic. I have to wish him good luck on his future too.

Indeed. Think of the nonsensical topics this forum might get complaining about that. *cough*totallynotreferencinganothertopicatall*cough*

Noooo! I said Everafter MAY have to go on temporary hiatus here and there when I have to keep up with other things, in the future. I have no intention of halting it now, RIGHT before the new pages come in. Hahah. That would be horrible.

Though regardless I thank you for the well-wishing. :)

I was kinda confused by Endling's DA journal, specifically about the part saying that he was drawing for popularity and not drawing. If you draw for yourself and then posted it wouldn't people still like you? There are tons of people in art forum that don't draw half as well as Endling and they still have people telling them their artwork is good. Meh, maybe I just don't get the problem.

Strange I always thought endling was drawing what he wanted, not for popularity.
I say go crazy (er?)! Draw draw draw what you want, when you want, how you want.
Even IF EA goes on hiatus, there will be some endling artwork eventually, and it will have more "endling" in it than the rest.

Who knows, you might just come up with the best proyect of your life after this.

Good luck and everything.

Not everyone will like it, some will want more blood, others more action and boobs, etc.
Its the whole "you cant please everone" dilema, I belive. Acording to him, he was trying to draw stuff that he thought the mayority wanted to see, rather than what he wanted to see.

well, I know exactly how endling feels. So I support this move 100%
No point doing art unless you enjoy it. If you worry about your fans to much, it becomes work.

sadly though, that means one more comic that won't be updated :(

As of yet. Everafter is my favourite, then Tim and Snafu. The others I don't think really appeal to me much.
