Um...a wizard did it.

I'm really sure, but I'm sure its the result of something Humpty has done, through either science or witchcraft. (Hey, witchcraft is a plausible explanation in a comic where a guy who kills giants with a talking harp attached to the hilt of a sword is going to appear sooner or later, according to Endling's DeviantART).
