Alright, well, I've been watching Firefly for the past two days and have seen Serenity already, and I was wondering how many people share my obsession with this show and the movie. I love the actors and the script is beyond awesome, so I guess this is kind of sparking up a conversation about it and anything it might spawn into...

So, to start things off, who is your favorite character and which character are you most like?

Personally, I like Mal, but I'm so much like Kaylee it's scary...

Actually, I'm not surprised you haven't...It was a short lived series (I don't know why, it was amazing), and the movie was just incredible (if you're into space stuff and humor and action, that is), so I highly recommend it to everyone. It's a shame that it really wasn't big so many people missed out on it...

My natural love for waifs who can kick a lot of ass makes me gravitate towards River, but for sheer props as an actor and a convincing, 'real' character, it's Mal all around. But Kaylee is such a sweetheart..

Who am I most like? Probably Sheperd Book, only without the religion. Haha.

I have the movie, but I never did see the series.
Not to mention that I never saw the movie...*nervous chuckle*

yeah, I think it was on the Sci-Fi channel? Not too sure, watching it from a box set of all the episodes...

Shepard Book, Endling? Well, he's really awesome, But I don't know that much about him yet (I've only seen the first seven or so episodes). And he didn't play that big a part in the movie...which is a shame, he's really cool.

I especially like the scene when River tries to fix his Bible, claiming it's broken. I was laughing so hard...

And Kane, go see it! It's awesome!

Actually, I was talking with my boyfriend and he said that in the first episode of Family Guy (haven't watched that much of it, not really my type of humor) that Peter walked in and said that they're going to be cancelled, because the only way they'll stay on was if Fox cancelled all the shows that people like and then proceeded to list a bunch of shows Fox cancelled and one of them was Firefly...

They're idiots. They cancelled the second best series they've ever hosted...

The first series they've hosted is still going strong, and it's House. I love that guy...

I've never seen fire fly however I loved serenity I found it from empire magazinewho said it was the second best b-movie ever made. So when i saw if in the second hand dvd store i knew i had to give it a flig

I watched FireFly b4 I saw Serenity, so I made the mistake of my personal favorite being Wash....i'm not sure how to spell his name, but that's how they pronounced it. Then he goes and dies in the movie!!

hem.. I saw Serinity first and loved it (River rocks my socks) then my dad said it was based off a tv show and we bought the box set. The show was BRILIENT(sp?) it was an awsome space-western, and probably the only of its kind. they didn't even get through the first season which is really sad because the show was so cool and the actors were so good. And you know who the real fans are because they can still sing the opening song.

Fav character would probably be river, but I thought Mal had some good one liners. I like that episode where he's doing a job for a real nerdy jerk and he canges his mind. the jerks henchman and him and the crew get in a fight and he wins. He gives the main henchman the jerks money and tells him to take it back to the jerk and tell him their squre. then the henchman gos into a speach of his own about how he will not rest until Mal dies by his blade. then Mal says "ok" and kicks him into Serinity's engine. then they get one of the other henchman and Mal starts to give him the same speech and this guys all like "yeah yeah I gottcha best thing for everyone!!"
Oh and the ep where Sheperd lets his hair out and Rivers scared of it .
