they definitely need a new actor for link. and they better not make him talk. link is quiet every second, and all he pretty much says is "seiya!!!" or screams..

JM: Well, its not a silent film, and this is 21 century film making, I think he may have a couple of things to say.

Added after 3 minutes:

I for one wouldnt mind if he had some dialoge, just enough to get the story along, add some personality and realism to Link. Come on, you think someone would really just stand there the whole time listening to other people and magically know their name if they say nothing?

Oh yeah, as for my openion about the movie/trailer itself, I think I'll see because I am a Zelda-whore. However, I never make final judgements on a movie until I see it, Hollywood or fan-made.

This does look like it might be cool for a fan-made project. I noticed some people are expecting higher standards, as Zelda deserves such, however I doubt we'll get a Lord of the Rings-quality movie from a small group of fans.

But one can dream of such, cant they?

Zelda could easily make a good movie if directed right.

Most fan-films sucks, but there are some out there that are very good. Yellow Fever is a good example. This Zelda movie's been about two years in the making, so there's possibility for it being good (although that's very doubtful from the look of it).

2 hours long? that's what makes me think it will suck.

Seriously if it was say 15 minutes I think they could probably make it awesome. But nope.

If anyone could think that trailer is gay, well, I think there's a fair bit of rimjob commando worthy material in there, that and the still is pretty gay too, eyeing off his sword 0_o;;; I'd like to direct everyone's attention to the Legend of Zelda cartoon, remember that? Back in the day when every video game was made into an absolute crap-o-rama cartoon (including TETRIS) zelda was ported to it, featuring a brunette link... I watched one episode and threw up.

Enjoy... well at least try to

I'm almost certain a live action movie could top that load of shit, even if the acting might be dismal, along with a lack of girlie link-ness.... oh and gigantic chins to rival Gannondorf's nose (did anyone notice that thing in the trailer :| )

I never thought about it like that, Dave. Your so smart and always right. I'm still excited to see it though, even if it won't be out 'till late fall.

Um, ... I just have one question

Are all of you idiots, ... no offence but really, ... that trailer was only made for fun, ... there not gonna really make a movie, ... It would be sweet if they did, ... but there not.

I'm one of the biggest Zelda fans there are, so don't think I'm just disin on Zelda, I'm just saying your all fools for believing they're going to really make a zelda movie.

So wake up and smell reallity. :brickwall:

Its a fan-made movie. Unless that site was a rude semi-late April Fools joke, there are a couple of people out there having fun with some slightly above-average-joe-equipment. We know there wont be a real movie to Legend of Zelda made by a major movie production company, at lest for a long time.

Nah, your the idiot. "There" (it's sposta' be "They're" BTW) not making a movie. But these fans who made this trailer just for fun are also making a two hour movie just for fun.

http://www.legendofzeldaseries.com/main ... movie.html

This has already been two years in the making, and they're still predicting half-year post production CGI. It is a fan-film, meaning it's just a bunch of kids with videocameras, not a hollywood producer, actors, and a budget. They're also aiming at putting it into numerous film festivals, but apparently many won't accept it because the characters, ideas, and story are copywritten.

Which is super lame it should still be allowed in a film festival since it shows their work it's not like they're selling it. Although I will buy it from them if they do. and if they don't sell it I'll download it and donate because this is an amazing project to say the least.

and yeah Chisaru it's real, it's a fan project, Layne covered the bases already. So yeeeeah thanks for the reality check from some reality that's clearly non-existant. Appreciate that one.

And Ku Ku Ku I totally disagree Tomb Raider, Resident Evil, Mortal Kombat (one), Were all video game movies that I had a BLAST watching. Eventually hollywood is going to do it right and Video Game movies will rock the galaxy. Just like Comic Book movies used to suck and now nearly every major blockbuster IS a comic book movie. Just a matter of time before Movies catch up to Video Games. It'll happen. Same as video games based on movies used to suck. Ever since Goldeneye they've generally been fairly good.

I think they should be allowed to enter film festivals too, but I can understand a festival not wanting to let them in. They could probably get into a lot of legal trouble, especally if there's money floating around with the festival, even if it's not related to a fan film.

I agree here. They're still hitting REALLY gay/corny with videogame movies, but they still hit that with comic movies all the time. Has anyone seen Stay Alive yet, lol?

ok for one, i take personal offence to that because the super mario movie kicked ass like no other, it was hilarious, and John Leguizamo was a great luigi. and street fighter was kinda bad(it was a van-dam movie after all)

But i think this has good potential, especially if the fans are acctually hardcore nerd fans that know their Zelda.

and the silent hill movie will be great, and if it's not, then it will be so bad it'll be awsome, just like Snakes on a Plane lol

Hah, fan-films can sometimes end up being fairly good. Check out some of the Batman ones.

My only complaint, really, is the white tights. Jesus, have him wear mail or something. But that's been a complaint of mine ever since OoT, so don't mind me.

In all due honesty, I think that it's great someone is making this film. Granted I would have preferred a less fake wig and a younger face on the actor, but I think it will be fun to watch. Also it will be an easier way of explaining the story to my very young cousins.
I can't wait to see when Link leaves Saria behind. I keep that scene so dear to my heart. And I think that the actors will pull it off well. If not I will be devastated. D:

But good news! Link finally gets a kiss XD
