I don't think that makes us pricks. I think that makes us smarter than him.

I didn't say you were pricks i was meerly pointing out that all the info must be taken into account before making an opinion especially on a subject as important as this.

Yeah, but it kind of made it seem like we were the ones being a prick.
I ran up my door,
Shut the stairs,
Got in my prayer,
Said my pajamas,
Jumped in light,
And turned off the bed.
All cause you kissed me goodnight.

Is is a weird thing that I'm kinda believing this story and am kinda feeling sorry for this guy, even if I rationally decided not to give a shit? I mean, COME ON, just another suicide.
Like cali put it to words nicely on the subject of people dying from famine "1 kid every three seconds"
1 bloke every minute.

but yeah, I'm kinda feeling sorry for this idiot. proly cuz my nature includes caring for other idiots :P

I feel pretty bad that I can't show him any sympathy actually. I wonder why it is that because of the circumstances of his death and the fact that I don't know him, it's difficult to feel sorry for him. Maybe I am just callous.

Yeah, thats exactly why I don't feel sorrow, pity, or anything; it's because I don't know him and since he died I won't be able to. ((unless this is a joke))

Okay, you really don't have to reply to every post in this thread, you know. Especially, if you don't have anything new to add.

Someone in the world died right now. Someone in the world got hit in the face with MACE. Someone in the world has a hose stuck in their ass. Someone is playing sonic. Does one soul really matter to so many people? Hell, maybe if he was popular and known, but a dude that 2/3's of you dont even know his name died and you make such a big fuss, I really dont see the point. Splat hes dead. Splat a dog died. Splat. There is a form of life dieing every second in the world, and another form of life being born. Dont make such a fuss over one man.

well it's interesting to see how a miniscule connection to the kid, like a detailed article and having shared a webservice like myspace makes us care and discuss so much more than the 50,000 more people that killed themselves than last year.
what I am saying is I find it interesting; the simplicity of making something a thousand times more personal and discutable.

It is very interesting Dutch.

The main thing about this is that I don't know anybody who is currently dead because of suicide. It just isn't prevelant in my narrow view.

Yes. Yes it was.

Also, I don't find much compassion for suicide. Hey, they made their choice, usually on a whim, opting to kill themselves rather than working things out. But whatever, it's their choice.

I'd say both sad and funny.

It's sad he ended his life, but it's patheticly funny that he reason was a girl, besides emo kids sometimes annoy me.
