I feel pretty bad that I can't show him any sympathy actually. I wonder why it is that because of the circumstances of his death and the fact that I don't know him, it's difficult to feel sorry for him. Maybe I am just callous.

We are making a big fuss because people have told us about this guy yes people die all the time but we never know anything about them so we cant worry.

well it's interesting to see how a miniscule connection to the kid, like a detailed article and having shared a webservice like myspace makes us care and discuss so much more than the 50,000 more people that killed themselves than last year.

It is very interesting Dutch.

The main thing about this is that I don't know anybody who is currently dead because of suicide. It just isn't prevelant in my narrow view.

Also, I don't find much compassion for suicide. Hey, they made their choice, usually on a whim, opting to kill themselves rather than working things out. But whatever, it's their choice.
