I'm working on it. Watching the movie made me want to pop in the game again. So I've been playing it this week when I've had the time.

What's bothering you guys didn't really bother me. Naturally I'd assume that the hero of the movie/game would fight the big fights and take out the bosses. Well, that and Cloud fighting Sephiroth is VERY personal. If I were Cloud I wouldn't want anyone else involved. That's how those kinds of fights usually are. It's HIS problem and HIS past and he has to face it on his own.

I did however really like how they all threw him up after Bahamut. That really kicked as.

I agree with the "Less Cloud, more other characters" sentiment. It's one thing for Cloud to take on the main bad guy, it's another entirely for him to practically monopolize the screen time throughout the movie.

Since we've been mentioning favorite parts, I'll throw in mine: The part where Tifa gets thrown across the church, catches herself on the wall, and the flowers go flying - gorgeous. Also, when Reno and Rude each actually got in a decent hit on the brothers Goon, I almost cheered.

I've never played FF7, and yet I still loved that film. I spent three hours last night reading up FF7 plot details on Wikipedia and so forth just so I could have a clue what was happening.

But I still don't have much of a clue. Why did the water suddenly start healing people?

That was probably the work of Aerith or something, the lifestream?
I never played the game either.

It was Aeris using her ultimate Limit Break from beyond the grave. Full heal/restores everyone's Limit Breaks ;) .

Yeah, that part made me cry. :(

I am not listening to any more of your "opinions." ^_^
You were the one complaining that the minor characters didn't get enough action, and then you go and complain about one of their best scenes. I really liked how they helped him up. If anything it added a bit of realism so that he wasn't just flying through the air. But I liked how they all pitched in, to support him, and then Aeris at the end gave him that final boost.

And yeah, the water was the Lifestream. That's why it was like the only place in Midgar where you could get flowers to grow.

WTF? Eminem is listed as a voice actor in this movie.
(watching it now)
IMDB wrote:Takahiro Sakurai .... Cloud Strife (voice)
Maaya Sakamoto .... Aeris Gainsborough (voice)
Ayumi Ito .... Tifa Lockheart (voice)
Tsuduruhara Miyuu .... Marlene (voice)
rest of cast listed alphabetically:
Eminem .... Mr. Coates
Keiji Fujiwara .... Reno (voice)
Kyosuke Ikeda .... Denzel (voice)

IMDB sucks, Cole.
So I'd like to ask any gamer that cares about this to educate their children about 2D games, and maybe together we can build a bright future for this type of gameplay.

Actually Cole, they are trying to reach out to urban audiences as well. That's why they have 50 Cent, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, and Oscar the Grouch on there as well.

Shouldn't they have been somehow ironiclly forced to fight in groups of three?

That was simply DELIGHTFUL!

The movie destroyed any urges I've ever had within myself to write fanfiction... Maybe that's why they made it? The internet is teetering dangerously close to full, and 3/4 of it is FF7 fan-works.

AND I LOVE YUFFIE! XD ("DISCRIMINATION!")

All the male characters are pretty as fuck. I kept expecting the ex-soldier clone-dudes to start fucking in the middle of a battle to charge up their special attacks, ala Hentai'ed DBZ.

Did they have to make Tifa so freaking hot? I mean, I understand making her attractive and all, but damnit, she was absolutely delightful to look at. I want a freaking Tifa poster of her in that outfit.

No, but in that particular scene with the bombs, I thought they were going to. They had their whole "Well, this may be it for us" talk. And I just went "NOOOOOOOOOO" and started crying.

For anyone who's gotten this far without downloading it.

Oh Em Gee, I think I'm going to have a nerdgasm. There are fireworks going off in my head. And I didn't even bother to download the subtitles. Reno & Rude were one of the best parts. Of anything. Ever.

There's some sequel coming out soon, isn't there, involving Vincent? Some game in the same vein as Devil May Cry?

Vincent game... Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus, I think it's called. As far as I know, it's actually a third-person shooter.

I'm sure you'll change your tune come release time. Vincent is my #1 guy, too. It's NOT an FPS. It's Devilish May Cry.
