You could at least read the article before saying that. Go read it again:

EGM wrote:"So far, only a brief anime trailer (which turned out to be scenes from the Last Order short film packed with the Japanese limited edition of Advent Children) has sufaced for the game..."

Crisis Core doesn't even have screens for it, let alone any real info on the game itself.

Still don't believe me?

Pwnt.

Anyhow, just finished watching the movie, rather nice though at some points the Aerith thing was sorta cheesy >_>

Anyhow, it was a pretty good movie, made my day definitely.

Also, I may be a bit out of touch, but what the hell is "Before Crisis" supposed to be? I remember seeing a huge ad for it back last summer when I was in that Tokyo subway station.

I don't know if anyone is still having problems getting a good working copy but...

I got mine from HERE

You can download English subs HERE

You must use WinRar to unzip them as they are in .rar format.
You can either name them the same as the movie file (so it will register that they go together) and watch it in DivX, or you can download THIS program and set it to upload the subtitles from whatever folder you put them in.

And as much as I respect this movie or whatever, I've been waiting for it way too long not to take advantage of this. I watched it last night and even though it kept me up til 3 am, it was SO worth it.

Added after 3 minutes:

Also

Japanese site for Before Crisis

From FFShrine:

Few details about the storyline have been released by Square-Enix thus far. It has been confirmed that the game will be considered a prequel to the original Final Fantasy VII game. Before Crisis takes place six years before the events of Final Fantasy VII and it is believed that the storyline will revolve heavily around the Turks and their rise to power.

Before Crisis is going to be released via "Square-Enix Mobile," a division of the popular company that is believed to focus entirely on games for mobile phones. No brands have been mentioned or confirmed.

Alright, I got Last Order fine, no subs though.

And as much as I hate to say it, it wasn't that great. They just messed up a lot of good parts in the game or just didn't show them.

Rather than have Cloud do something awesome like he did in the game and throw Sephiroth into the lifestream out of rage, instead they had Sephiroth jump in himself, which was retarded beyond belief. They didn't even show what Hojo (who looks rightfully creepy, by the way) did to Cloud and Zack, it just cuts to the two on the truck after the Sephiroth in the reactor scene. The game was pretty intense in the fact that Zack is shown getting shot to death, but no such thing in the anime, it pretty much ended right before then, which was incredibly disappointing.

Aside from the lame changes, I guess it's still worth a watch for diehard FFVII fans (like me). I'd suggest waiting for subs, though.

I finally saw Advent Children at my Bittorrent friend's house.

SWEET JESUS. Even the characters that were next to useless in the game are so badass it isn't even funny. ESPECIALLY the Turks. I'm doing Reno and Rude fanart ASAP. I am getting that DVD as soon as it comes out, and the soundtrack. This was worth, and, in fact, ripened by the 3-year wait. It's made oh-so much more satisfying by the fact that Nobuo Uematsu has said that he may actually make that PS3 FF VII remake whenever his huge-mongous schedule clears up.

This will be especially awesome if they can freshen up the motorcycle, snowboarding, and submarine minigames (I must admit that they haven't aged terribly well).

Get the .ssa files from the second link on the first post and put those in the folder that the AC video file is in, not the "Subs" folder.

Yeah, Reno was my favorite character. I love the way he carries himself and speaks. Not to mention he and Rude were great comic relief. Him accidently smacking Rude, as well as crushing his sunglasses was priceless. T'was a damn shame they both got their asses handed to them.

Tseng and Elena were in the movie, though. They shot that net gun to save Rufus from falling, remember? They weren't killed by Kadaj after all.

he pulled them out of the lifestream? I don't remember that at all. Wow, rewatching it tomorrow.

For me it was everything I wanted and more and I'm going to possibly buy it when it comes out because I'm obsessed. But Comrade I totally totally agree with your complaints. Pointless. I wish they had more supporting cast and maybe a CHOCOBO or two.

I want a fighting game where the basics of the fighting is controlling your momentum as you jump huge distances. The fighting rocked. And I didn't realise in the game Yufi was that hot.

Yeah Vincent makes some comment about how he saved them, but that he didn't think he saved them well enough? I wasn't really sure. I can't remember exactly what he says.

And I've talked about how awesome Vincent was to other people. That whole red swirly thing was bad ass. I didn't know what the hell was going on, but it rocked.

I'll be buying it. I thought it was amazing. DJ, you never like anything anyway. ^_^

Also, I'm assuming that if Kadaaj had managed to get all of Janeva's cells and not just the few drops, he might have been able to use the kids in some way. I didn't entirely understand the whole Janeva's contaminating cells thing.

I am going with Reno and Rude being the best characters in the movie, though. They were awesome.

Well, you can't have EVERYTHING. lol
I thought they did nicely to incorporate things from the FF world.
I think that Bahamut fight was plenty enough awesome for the whole movie.

I TOTALLY laughed my ass off at the cell phone battle theme. At first I was like "WTF is that?" Then I realized the tune and went "Oh no they did not just put that in the friggin movie."
Then the guy busts out of the rubble and I cracked up laughing.

And yeah, it makes sense now DJ. I mean, I kinda got that. I understood that she was infecting the people and their bodies were trying to fight back. And I got that they could control the kids through that (personally I was a little bothered by the kids going into the water so willingly). And I got the whole "spirits of Sephiroth" thing. I haven't even gotten past the first disc of the game, so I'm just a little lost on some things.

Yeah, the cellphone thing totally ROCKED. It was a highlight of the movie :O

Yuffie is hot, the game didn't portray her that well, I always loved art and such of her, I'm so sad I didn't buy that figurine of her a while back =
Though $50 CDN was a bit high for my blood.

Like I said before, TOTALLY needed more Yuffie.

As for the supporting cast complaint, totally, I mean, the Baphomet battle was KICKASS, but then they pulled the "when he's fighting he becomes a different person, so let him fight alone" card, which I'll add, is something I've seen before WAY too many times. That was a FUCKTARD EXCUSE.

Well, that's true, but I still detest that the supporting cast did absolutely NOTHING to help.
They were all like, "Hey! Let's watch from our airship and cheer on Cloud!"
I hate it when all these cool (Yuffie, Vincent) support characters just become cheer leaders while the main dude goes all glory hog >_>
