This looks pretty cool. Can't wait.
As I saw the creature, I was as white as an egg. I was so scared I might crack from fear. As the humanoid began to lunge after me, I was walking on egg shells from how scared I was. It grabbed me, took me to its station, and cracked me open. The last thing I saw were my yellow insides cooked on a pan. Human nature is as evil as a rotten egg.

what is that even
"Suddenly Frodo noticed that a strange-looking weather-beaten man, sitting in the shadows near the wall, was also listening intently to the hobbit-talk. He had a tall tankard in front of him, and was smoking a long-stemmed pipe curiously carved. His legs were stretched out before him, showing high boots of supple leather that fitted him well, but had seen much wear and were now caked with mud. A travel-stained cloak of heavy dark-green cloth was drawn close about him, and in spite of the heat of the room he wore a hood that overshadowed his face; but the gleam of his eyes could be seen as he watched the hobbits."

Less than a week to go for the movie I'm looking forward to:
(this contains one minute of movie footage so if you want nothing to that degree shown to you yet then don't watch it)

I hope this is a good movie. I'm afraid from the previews I've seen that it will have a "protect your environment" undertones in it.
Stufflikehearts - He is a Sith Lord. I love Blood Lord :3
Jeffffey - Blood, you look at the information someone says, look over what really happened, and reply in a way that makes them realize what they were really thinking.
Light10s - Blood Lord! Your avatars are becoming more epic. You make me feel like getting on all fours and submitting my loyalty and obedience to you.
Fievel - Numerous campaigns and conquests, countless bodies decaying after the abandonment of victorious battlefields. Such is the life of Blood Lord.
Dusk_Imp - Blood Lord is like a celebrity here. Everything he does is pure awesome. ALL HAIL BLOOD LORD
Doctress Who - Why couldn't there be a Blood Lord in every forum? It would make life so much easier.

Guess what? The first godzilla movie had a message about nuclear arms.

The vast majority of the reviews seem really positive so its giving me some confidence in the movie at least.

I'm gonna be there opening day to see some good old giant monster action.

And yes the original was an allegory for nuclear arms and the dangers they posed, but it didn't beat you over the head with it. I haven't gotten the feeling that they're going for a "protect your environment" thing with this.
They all ready did that with Godzilla vs Hedora anyways.

From what I understand it still sticks with some of the theme of the original movie, but it's tied more towards the world's rush for nuclear power thing. But yeah, all reviews so far have said pretty good things so far, even though I usually take that with a grain of salt.

So saw Godzilla last night. Most satisfying Godzilla movie ever. Also they did some pretty clever things with the trailers, because what you see in some of the trailers isnt actually what happens on the big screen, which was pretty neat for them to do.

I just got back from the Godzilla movie.

And I liked it.

The last moments made me feel like a little kid again and the final blow was awesome.

New Guardians of the Galaxy trailer came out yesterday. Still looks pretty epic to me and finally got to hear Rocket's voice, which I've heard a lot of people giving hate over, but it sounds fine to me.

I've yet to read any of the Guardians of the Galaxy comics (there's a crap tone of other stuff I've been reading), but I'm loving the tone of this movie.
I don't want to compare it to something else, but it kind of reminds me of Firefly and Cowboy Bebop.
Only neither of those shows had a Rocket Raccoon in it!

Hmm, that's pretty high praise

Its the kind of vibe I've been getting from the two trailers which I think are pretty good.
The trailers make it look like the kind of fun sci-fi space adventures with some odd but enjoyable characters like the other two shows I compared it to and I like that.
If the movie is as enjoyable as the trailers then this could be a pretty cool and fun movie. Or movie series since everything that succeeds these days gets a sequel.

Speaking of which after Godzilla: 2014 kicked major ass at the box office Legendary has already said, "Yep, screw it, time to start work on the sequel."

Source for proof: https://variety.com/2014/film/news/godz ... 201185365/

So, in less than a week the sequel is already more or less confirmed.
I'm cool with that because I could always go with more Godzilla and I would love to see them expand upon the universe that the last movie set up, make some more interesting characters (bring back Ken Watanabe please) and I wouldn't mind a bit more monster fighting for the next one.
Did I want a bit more monster action in the movie? Yes, of course.
Am I glad they didn't over do it? Yes, of course.

I also heard in some Godzilla forums that they even plan on making a Godzilla trilogy, but that might be getting a bit ahead of things.

So as much as I did enjoy the American reboot, here's to hoping that the sequel is even better.

Yeah, maybe they'll get some rights to the other kaiju this time. At the very least I'd love to see some form of Ghidorah come into play, which has always been one of Godzilla's toughest enemies. That or Destroyah.

Ghidorah is a popular one, I've heard a few people mention how they'd like to see Rodan or Mothra and even Anguirus has been mentioned a few times.

One obscure one I'd kind of liked to see is Griffon from the Godzilla:1994 script mainly because I'd like to see what they'd do with it if they could make it work. I've seen some pretty interesting fan designs floating around on the internet.

So saw Godzilla for a second time and I just realized the little changes they made to certain scenes that were different in the movie than they were in the trailers. Like the halo jump scene, when they came down and saw Godzilla through the smoke cloud in the trailer, in the actual movie the scene was Godzilla fighting the MUTO. There was another trailer scene that did that same thing too. It's nice when they'll actually do that for a film to hide spoilers, as most films anymore just give everything away in the trailers alone.
