As much as another Earthbound game would rock, I greatly doubt that this new game could ever be as awesome as Earthbound was. I mean...jeez...we're talking about Earthbound here!

Well, according to starmen.net, this will be the same plot as the original Mother 3 slated for the N64 days. The story is that the Mother team couldn't handle the 3D aspects too well. The plot has something to do with a cowboy and his kids, but I'm not too sure. But it is said to have nothing to do with Ness & Co.
With all the recent buzz on Mother 3 within the last year, I'm confident that we'll see something in the future.
So I'd like to ask any gamer that cares about this to educate their children about 2D games, and maybe together we can build a bright future for this type of gameplay.

By god it better bomb. If its not about Ness and co. than fuck it. I went to my local electronics store, the guy behind the counter (who had a heated arguent with a DS fan somewhat earlier, wherein the clerk sided with the PSP) showed my a DS that came out of the package and let me play it for awhile. I would hate to play an Earthbound game on it. (I wasnt impressed really)

that just gave me the coolest idea.
we each get x lives and if four people agree with an originator of a complaint, then someone loses a life. when all those lives are gone, bannage begins. we can also gain new lives when someone brings something profoundly interesting to our attention or helps our with a big tech problem.
cool, eh? that would be an awesome phpbb hack.
probably already done though. the last time I had an idea for a hack, it had already been done.

I think people I don't like should be banned, and people I do like can stay. It's really the best solution for me.

So, if I said I disliked the DS 4 times I would get banned?

only if twenty people agreed you should be. and the post was offensive enough to get a ban request in place.

Shockro, that wasn't even close to bad enough for bannage. Although I may drop you a point on my Troggles' scale of amazing, you didn't do anything to get yourself kicked outta here.

Heh, I don't think Layne is actually serious about banning you, but meh, he could be.

Wouldnt losing at life be more like a description for suicide?

In my opinion failing at suicide is losing at life.
