Upcoming events you're excited for

Tue May 14, 2013 7:47 pm

This thread is to talk about things that will happen in the future like movies, games series, events, global events, the work you ever wanted and things like that. I don´t know how to name this thread so change it as it fits the best.
One movie I am expecting to see is this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K-ZcqwvQbas

Grey edit: this name I think is better for the purposes of the thread

I'm expecting hover boards in 2015, since we are talking about the future.

Holograms, lightsabers, sonic screwdrivers, phaser guns, badass spacemarine armor, and vortex manipulators. End of my story.

"things from the future" sounds kinda dumb. not to be rude, you're still learning and i'm an idiot who only knows one language. i changed the title.

Ahhh now the title makes things better!

I'm actually excited for the next Star Wars film. I mean, who knows how it'll go!

Random Access Memories. Best part is I got to listen to the whole album early, and now I want it SOOO bad. I've got to find whatever money's in my house so I can give this album the love it truly deserves.

Always have something to look forward to, that's my philosophy.

Excited for the summer steam sale. More specifically, getting my grubby hands on Bioshock Infinite, DMC, Dishonored and Far Cry 3. Loootta games I've put off buying because I have no money.

Looking forward to finishing my exams, then summer holidays. Not far now.

If you plan on playing DmC for the story, you will probably be dissappointed. It's a reboot, so the story's changed compared to the other ones. Combat's not too different though...

Lul, why would I buy it for the story? Guns, swords, mashing buttons, combos. That's the reason.

I'm picking up Resident Evil: Revelations on Tuesday, the game looks like it's gonna be sweet. Much better than RE6. I'm also psyched about Fuse.

That's what I'm talking about! Devil May Cry was never really known for its story (which only gives you a reason to hack and slash in the first place) but its gameplay. We've got jump-canceling, air dashing, eye-catching finishers (that's a welcome addition to DmC IMO), and fast paced attacks.

Oh, and by the way, If you're going to get the PC version, make sure you download the Turbo Mode mod, if you want to shake things up a little like Master Chief. This feature has been a staple for PC versions of DMC since Dante's Awakening, and it was going to be included in DmC according to Tameem Antoniades for when players reach "Savage!" and above.

I personally love the new DmC game, the change up in the combo system is pretty well done, and I actually did like the story a bit better than the original games. But the fighting is definitely best part of the game. I've gotten a few SSS ranks in it.

As for me, I have a bday coming up, and as part of that, I'm going to see Video Games Live in Nashville on 6/4. Been waiting years to go see that concert.

How do you find this, looks intresting

You find it by... I dunno, paying attention to discussions about technology.

I'm not sure one should look forward to the singularity, as it can very much end badly, but hells yes! It's just too special not to.

Sentios is very interested and knowledgeable in hard science.

With that said, I'm not even remotely as knowledgeable as him, and I've read about it, too.

Anyway he looks forward to it and it might happen in the future. His post was funny and witty.

Scientists aren't exactly in agreement on how it'll occur, when it'll occur, or even if it'll occur, so I find the guys placing it for certain during our life time, to be overly optimistic.

With that said, living in a time that you know will change the fate of all humanity would be incredibly exciting, but personally I'm more inclined to believe advanced human genetic engineering will take place during my lifespan.
