I fucking hate that. "Why don't you just get it off the internet"? I hate that. I like buying my shit in physical form, not something that everyone can have with the click of a button. That's why I still buy my manga, books, CD's, movies, etc. in physical form.

Also, I saw Yu-Gi-Oh! for sale and I thought I'd get it. Hellsing has only 10 vol. so I'll get 'em later.

so it's a collectable kind of thing, i can see the appeal of that i guess

I always prefer manga over anime. Usually, when I compare anime and manga, there are almost always changes. Sometimes the plot of an episode can be different of a volume. The only thing I never seen change, is the character design of the current design of that time. Bassically, I like the originall preceedings unless the change really does improve it overall.

I completely agree with you. Ex. In the Naruto manga, after the Sasuke vs. Naruto battle, Jiraiya and Naruto leave Konoha to train. In the anime, however, they don't leave Konoha and instead go through 200 freakin' episodes of Naruto's adventures in missions and other stuff and THEN Jiraiya and Naruto leave Konoha to train. This was the reason why I thought mangas were better than anime. (Also, Naruto never fucking says "Believe It" in the manga. In the anime, he says every damn minute! Just wanted to point that out...!)

A good portion of anime adapted from manga are released when the manga becomes popular, but of course anime progresses through it's story faster (or else gets filler [Ex: Naruto Filler Hell]) thus inevitably ending in 'anime original' endings most of the time. Though there are times when the anime original ending is better than the manga ending, they are usually mediocre.

Hellsing has for a long time been my favorite manga, but I would highly recommend Rabbit Doubt. Its a very interesting mystery/horror manga and from what I've read so far it's very promising (the manga is pretty new I think).

As far as anime, Hellsing Ultimate is my favorite since it follows the manga very well. My second favorite at the moment is a tie between durarara and trigun.

I gave up on the naruto anime since the filler annoyed the hell out of me. -___-

I greatly advise against posting in forums that are left untouched for months. Unless you ask a mod, of course.

I'll let it pass. I'd like to revive this thread since it's back on the top of the Discussion forum.

New mangas I'm liking (and have in my Manga collection): Rurouni Kenshi, Yu-Gi-Oh, Bleach, Hellsing, Naruto, Attack on Titan.
New animes I'm liking: Attack on Titan.
Not much, but soon I'll watch some others.

Eh the forum's dead and if the reply is serious then why not?

also I made a mistake reading Attack on Titan, the art is terrible and so are the translations

Really? I thought AoT was okay. Not the best, but it's enjoyable.
I guess the anime just made it better, I guess.
Plus, the translations?

Well if it's been inactive for half a year then it's declared dead.
But since I'm the OP of this thread then I guess it's okay.

Hello there new member and welcome to Snafu! As you can probably tell, this (well, my) thread has been inactive for quite a while now and it's highly unlikely you'll get a response. You're question can be best answered in the Anime thread at the EverAfter forum. Thank you for understanding and have a great time in Snafu! Enjoy your stay.
