watched the first two episodes today. It quickly became my favorite show. Even beating Community.

Where'd you see the second one?

And in a format that doesn't suck.

You said "a format that doesn't suck" so all bets are off.

There were two types of video I found:

1. DivX web player. Aka high quality but it takes like an hour on a high speed connection to get it to load halfway.

2. This other player. Shit quality. And still took like an hour to get halfway.

But if you truly want to watch it just type "watch walking dead episode 2 online" on google. Who knows, it has been almost a week maybe somebody has posted it in megavideo by now.

Not all of us can catch shows on schedules, we all have hours when we're just mega busy. Hulu already said they're not streaming more than the first episode. So we're fucked on that regard as well. I'll try to catch the next episode this sunday but chances are i won't.

Tivo is good if you already have it and have no experience with finding shit online.

But considering how finding shit online revolves around typing it in google and testing link after link, I wouldn't call myself an expert either.

after yesterday's episode I can safely say that 90% of the people that hated the wife will have no more dislike for her.

I can also safely say that nerds fucking love to spoil shit even in articles of the actual show without even a warning of a spoiler.

Yeah, she did really come off as a total bitch within the first two episodes, but I'm glad it got cleared up by the third. That just makes his best friend seem like more of a dick now though.

it does. But the way he still has morals on everything besides respecting Rick's marriage makes it hard to completely hate him. Especially after he beat the shit out of that one dude.

I have read every single issue of the comic, and I have not been able to watch the god dang show!!
Incidentally, I knew of the series days after I finished reading the last issue.

Also, the friend is a dick, but he grows even larger.
Not gonna screw up the series for you guys by telling what happens.

I already know what happens because fans can't keep their fucking mouths shut about what happens to characters in the comic even when the show is still in the early stages.

So why are you reading stuff like that then? I'm just watching the episodes straight up (then again I have direct download sources >_>)

True, then again, I'm not one to ruin shit for others, it bothers the living shit out of me when someone ruins a game, movie, or show for me by telling me the story.

But I have one thing to say, I wished they actor looked more like the character, but meh, I'm a fan of the original.

First scene and he shoots a girl in between the eyes, sweet!!

Hmmm let's see

I go to a page like io9

I see a discussion topic for the current tv episode

obviously people are gonna discuss what they expect

then there are those that don't bother saying SPOILER!!! and just say

"DURP I REALLY HOPE THAT [BLANK] DIES OFF LIKE IN THE COMIC"

and you're all seriously? what the fuck.

I just like the way they tell the story differently, but still feels like a good adaptation to the comics.
Period.

I read the first 12 or so issues and didn't really like it. Pacing and atmosphere was all very off. It was interesting, but it was a chore to get through.

This show is about fifty billion times better and it keeps surprising me when I think I know what's gonna happen. It's really different from the comic books and I hope it stays that way.

I find it hard to make it look and feel like a comic without it BEING a comic.
Hence why the show its better in its own way.

nerds will always complain when they don't do a 100% faithful adaptation. Some are complaining that there is a larger cast of characters in here than in the comic. But who gives a fuck. It's better since the whole comic/show will deal more with the psychological aspect over the zombie killing

Estrato, if it makes you feel better the show and the comic so far have nothing to do with each other as far as plot progression goes
