Actually, and this is straight from the writers...and I don't really think it needs to be spoiler tagged 2 seasons later.....
They are clones of themselves. They were born the normal way. They've been cloned about 14 times, I think. In Sunday's episode, Brock says the boys int he submarine were the "sevens." He says something like "Oh, so that's what happened to the sevens."
This isn't the first time they've run into their clones. In earlier episodes, Hank and Dean entered Doc's clone lab, but were convinced they were a Christmas present (these were all destroyed at the end of season 3 in a pretty crazy battle between the OSI and the Monarch on the Venture Compound). Hank hit one of the Dean corpses with Doc's car, and thought he killed his brother. A Dean clone survived/was abandoned and had been living in the Ventures' attic for many years, and tried to kill the current Dean. And now they've seen their corpses in the submarine in their father's body (but were obviously convinced it was something else).

The submarine incident did not occur in any episode. In fact, aside from the episode where Doc and Brock reminisce about all the times the boys have died, and the actual episode they died in, at the end of season 1, none of their other deaths have been within the show itself.

I knew they had seen their clones before. I mean Dean fights a deformed Dean in this season as well. But I hadn't known that the very first Hank and Dean were born the same way since they never explained if the crazy agent who says she is their mom was.... well bullshitting.

And I don't think the writers have come out and said she's the mother...that I know of. Just that they DID have a biological mother. It just happens that crazy bodyguard bitch was there at the right time to be their mother, and that it's clear Doc slept with her at some point. But whether or not she's their real mother, as she believes...I don't think that's been confirmed anywhere yet.

Early on, yes. I think now that they've progressed beyond 2 seasons, and they know the show is a hit and they'll get what they need, they're becoming a bit more structured.

Also, I really want more Order of the Triad. I feel like I've hardly seen them.

I'm hoping with Dr Impossible back on the show they'll show more JJ and do not add Underbheit back into the mix.

I'm also waiting for them to show something to do with Molotov because the end of season 3 seemed to set up a major plot point with her that has had no development.

Also...last night's episode was not one of their best. Stuff with Phantom and Impossible was kind of meh. LOVED Hank's story line though. Oh man, that would be so awesome. His "test" was hilarious.

I hate that AdultSwim.com is two episodes behind. I just saw "Every Which Way But Zeus."
