animal motherfuckin crossing on motherfuckin online.

I hope the rest of you are as excited as I am to trade silly hats and pears for master swords and NES games.

My GOD I love Animal Crossing.

Kiki is going to make a two month long cameo in Flatliner this summer.

I only thought so for these reasons:

1) only 1 person at a time, yet meant to be played by multiple people
2) generally only needs a little bit of maintenance every day, not meant for long stints which is how you normally play video games. (or.... I think.)

BOTH of these are solved by the DS version: play it when you're in line, waiting for something, doot doot doot... and people can play in the same town at the same time!! at LAST!

I just hope they fix needing to go to your house to save. That could put a damper on mobile play.

i say we form a tree-choppin clan where we all get the golden axe and travel to random towns together via the internet, and de-tree the whole town on some unsuspecting dork! hahah!

animal crossing was lacking in NEW things to do after a month or two. throw in the fact that nintendo could update the game whenever they wanted with this new internet service and you have a game that is constantly tossing new stuff your way.

you know, "YOU MUST LOG ON TODAY IN ORDER TO GET YOUR EXCLUSIVE NEW NES GAME!" or... better.

jesus shit man

Two words:

*shits pants*

Not only are we talking Animal Crossing online, we're talking MARIO KART ONLINE. Which means huge Mario Kart party anytime, anywhere, for any reason. Nintendo once again owns my soul.

has anyone watched the video of animal crossing?

it's not the direct port they showed originally. this looks so much more fluid and well-planned.

not that the original was lacking in those fields.

I don't get how their going to have these hotspots, though. Will you plug in? Can you do it at home? Will it be a pay service?

it'll use standard hot spots. and its wireless.

like when you go to borders/barnes and noble and you can get internet there. or the library if you're in a rich neighborhood.

coffee houses do it a lot, too.

Oops, our automated posting is still messed up! The thread you're looking for is here
"Suddenly Frodo noticed that a strange-looking weather-beaten man, sitting in the shadows near the wall, was also listening intently to the hobbit-talk. He had a tall tankard in front of him, and was smoking a long-stemmed pipe curiously carved. His legs were stretched out before him, showing high boots of supple leather that fitted him well, but had seen much wear and were now caked with mud. A travel-stained cloak of heavy dark-green cloth was drawn close about him, and in spite of the heat of the room he wore a hood that overshadowed his face; but the gleam of his eyes could be seen as he watched the hobbits."
