I broke down and got an XBox 360.

I got Assassin's creed, GTA4, and Mass Effect (not really feeling this one, though i found the character design page was a bit of fun, my chara's fucking CREEPY looking). Buying Halo 3 off a coworker and planning on getting fallout 3. Not sure if I want to get a subscription to Gamefly or if I just want to get other games used. Suggestions appreciated for games I should check out and if Gamefly is worth it (do they have problems with scratched discs; most games in good condition when sent out; stuff like that).

Gears of War 1 and 2 you wont' regret it. They're fantastic.

Castle Crashers if you have three friends to play with online or with controllers. it's an live arcade game. Geometry Wars is another classic must have arcade game. Pac Man C.E. another must have. N+ get it. Ummm that's all I can think of on the arcade side of things.

I get loads of documentaries via eztv, my school, and hulu.com, but i do want a netflix account. prolly this summer I will.
Gears games I'll ask the others on the paper if they have it for sale. I really wanted to get bioshock, bully, force unleashed, and fable 2 but the used copies i saw in the day before weren't there.
Braid looks intriguing, and also like it's just a repolish of old mario games. I like that.

no Braid is amazing and hardly Mario. Seriously though it's FANTASTIC. Short but fantastic.

I highly recommend Crackdown. You should find it pretty cheap nowadays.

COD 4 and COD WaW are good if you want some good multiplayer, but get bored of halo if your into that sort of thing

Braid isn't mario.. the time control bits are werid as hell but in the good way, like the levels where time flows with the direction your moving on the screen.. really confused me the first time i played it..

If you haven't played them on the PC, i recommend the Orange box, for the price, 5 games is better than a kick in the teeth :D Portal is funny and very fun, Team fortress is good, Half life 2 (series.. since its 2, ep 1 and ep 2) is good for story.

Dave suggested them already, but Castle Crashers and N+ are wonderful arcade games to get.
Both are even better with friends, N+ especially.

Here's what we (read: I) have:

Elder Scrolls: Oblivion
Bioshock
Mass Effect
Lost Odyssey
Last Remnant
Infinite Undiscovery
Eternal Sonata
Viva Pinata
Dynasty Warriors 6
Lego Batman
Halo 3
Fable 2
Civilization Revolution
Ninety-Nine Nights
Overlord
Assassin's Creed

And when I get the chance I plan on picking up The Orange Box, Prince of Persia and Fallout 3.
Oh we also have Guitar Hero World Tour, which is a good game, but it's not mine, and I don't really play it much myself.
Kris: that's Han Solo

Edit: with the list this long, perhaps I may actually do the gamefly thing. Has anyone tried it out?
okay, list of games i will get so far.
Braid
Gears of War games
Fable 2
Force Unleased
Bioshock
Bully
Fallout 3
Dead Space
Prince of Persia
DC v MK (for the simple fact i can play as the Joker and kill Raiden.)
Halo 3
Viva Pinata (I love the cartoon)
Forza 2
Elder Scrolls (All ways been an rpg man)
Lost Odyssey
Last Remnant
Orange Box
RE 5
Crackdown(Shoulda been on the list, how did i miss it?)
Soul Calibur IV. I LOVE the Soul Calibur games. And playable Yoda? THE CAKE IS NOT A LIE!

Also, the bandwidth on my new connection is HUGE. I downloaded two demos last night, 2.6 gigs or so, in less than 40 minutes. (Halo Wars and Too Human, neither game will I buy. Halo Wars=BAD IDEA, R|TS on a console is fucking stupid and Too Human felt like a devil may cry rehash and i wasn't feeling it which is a shame because the premise was so awesome.)
I'm essentially a whore for any game where I get to use the force, if Rockstar made it, or if it fills that craving for D&D I have and try to hide under a fascination with rugby and lacrosse.
I'm not a huge fan of multiplayer games on consoles so I doubt I'll be getting many of those.
If you want to add me, my name is SaakeeOTG or Cole Blak, not sure which. maybe you can search both? dunno.

You might not like Multiplayer games but COD4's campaign is worth the purchase for sure. Even though I mentioned it earlier, since you said you liked Rockstar games, Crackdown is like GTA but you play a super human cop and no escort missions.

I'll think about COD but I all ready have a preponderance(wow, that's become part of my day to day lingua? wtf) of shooters and was hoping there would be suggestions of games that are awesome but not shooters so much. Any good Sonic games for the 360?

Oh, and if you want me to add you on live, pm me your screen name.

Sonic Unleashed has some EXTREMELY tasty parts, but there's a lot of shit you've got to wade through.

The only good sonic games on the 360 are the ones you can download from arcade market place. Vigilante 8 is pretty fun too. Also Street Fighter 2 HD REMIX and Mortal Combat 3 are good fighting games.

Best game ever.

It sucks horribly, BUT once you realize how much incest happens during a normal playthrough, you stop caring.

P.S. And Cole rocks for liking SC IV, even though it's technically the weakest part in the series, it's still much fun.
