I knew I was getting the penguin the second I saw them. Plus, Empoleon is Water/Steel, which is a good combination (it elimates Steel's weakness to fire, and Water's weakness to grass).

Steel isn't weak to Electric, so that stays the same.

the turtle gets central park on its back. which is awesome. i used to always go fire. but blaziken in ruby/saph/emerald made me hate the world. it looked like it was wearing parachute pants, and it had a mullet. quite the far cry from the badass that is charizard. thus i am going penguin.

i spent an entire calculus class trying to remember all 150 original pokémon. i got about 130 of them. and yes, i am proud.

i just hope that the dragons dont suck. on wi-fi i will crush you all with my dragon hordes.

I'm getting diamond and the penguin.
Unbreon is my favorite eevee evolution. I still say eevee is the cutes pokémon

Do you know that you can import your pokémon from your gba game to the new ds 1. I miss bulbasaur and mewtwo.

Importing, huh?

I think I hear a lot of Supercard users getting owned. If they care, that is.

I'm debating turtle or penguin

I honestly think the penguins last for looks ridiculous. He has a trident glued to his face. But I like the idea of Water/Steel

Pretty sure I'm going turtle, I imagine he'll be a slow behemoth, and that appeals to me, I like a nice pain in the ass to kill pokemon XD

I remember how I felt when I used charmander for the first time. Waaay back during the game boy color version before yellow.

Now they have a penguin, a flaming monkey, and yet another bulbasaur edit.

The penguin seems the best, yet Feraligator (sp?) has to be the coolest final evolution for a starter water pokemon, IMO.

Oh and I can totally see yet another movie coming after this. I wonder which will be the MEGA RARE pokemon this time.

I always go with the fire types, so I'm getting the monkey. It's a shame, though, the other two both look quite cool, too.

Well, while I love fire, the Penguin is what I'll go for. I'm not sure how I'll do in Wi-Fi battle, but I think I can manage, just going to need the best Screw over team. And if the importing is correct then damnit, I have no clue where my Ruby game is.
This is the internet, things are either the equivalent of the clouds parting and the right hand of god descending and handing you a wad of hundred dollar bills, or the worse than the holocaust, potato famine, 9/11, and the black death combined and merged with the ebola virus.

Starters, I usually like the fire types the best, they are also hardest to start off with.
Red/Blue: I usually chose Squirtle
Gold/silver: Cyndaquil FTW!
Ruby/Sapphire: Torchic
Fire/Leaf: I started to pick Charmander the most times.

I plan on picking the grass type, but then again the water type has some good points.

I'm getting Diamond - but not until my brithday in May because I have no money.

I've already picked out Trutwig as my choice. Advantage over the first gym leader, plus when he evolves, he looks kinda like an anklyosaurus, which is cool. Though I persoanlly think Chimchar looks the coolest, and I do luv fire types, but I like to take the easy way out, and since the first gym leader is gonna be rock type, I don't wanna mess with it. The piplup looks freaky when it evolves, despite the fact that water/steel is an awesome combination.

Now I have to decide what to name it.

I get way too into Pokemon games.
